This was outstanding. The tour was cool and creepy at the same time. It’s about 60’ underground, so a little chilly. Make sure you’re good with stairs and tight spaces.

Our guide did not present the catacombs in a coherent fashion. At times I just zoned out and went exploring on my own. She tended to stand in one place for long periods of time opining on the age of the bones, etc. when there was so much to see and discuss. This tour includes access to areas not included with a regular ticket, so it was still worth paying for the tour. I just wish the guide had been better.

We had an extremely informative and interesting experience with Angel our guide. He was extremely respectful and explained the background to each part of the catacombs and tunnels and the history of how they were made. I would highly recommend this tour. The fun part was the climb back up the steps from the depths of the catacombs to the top of over 100 steps !! The time flew as angel captured our attention with anecdotes from the past about each worker and the struggles. He was very engaging.

We had an amazing tour with Leo. She explained so many things to us and was more than willing to answer all of our questions. Just make sure you’re reasonably fit for the 111 spiral steps at the end.

A must see attraction in Paris. The guide was very informative and gave plenty of history and details. A word of advice, you have to descend 137 steps in a spiral staircase to get down and walk about a half a mile before you see the first chamber filled with bones. No elevator. If you have claustrophobia or have a handicap that makes stairs difficult this is not the tour for you. The exit of the tour involved going up the same spiral staircase.

Leo was a phenomenal guide - so knowledgable and passionate about the history of the catacombs. We learned so much from her, especially with her notebook of personally curated archives and pictures that she personally researched herself! The tour was so much better than simply going on our own and looking about. WIth Leo we learned about the history of the site, the people buried there, the stories and continued relevance of the place even until today! Can't say enough good things about Leo and the tour.
