1. View Point, Forth Bridges
Forth Rail Bridge: UNESCO World Heritage Site and Scottish icon that is recognised the world over as the most famous of cantilever designs.
2. The Kelpies & The Helix
The Kelpies: The largest equine sculptures in the world. Standing at 100ft tall and weighing more than 300 tonnes each, the magical Kelpies are a man-made wonder and a feat of engineering. The works of art, created by artist Andy Scott, have become iconic on the landscape after being modelled on real-life icons of times gone by — Clydesdale horses Duke and Baron. The Kelpies represent the lineage of the heavy horse of Scottish industry and economy, pulling the wagons, ploughs, barges and coalships that shaped the geographical layout of Falkirk. The Kelpies’ name reflects the mythological transforming beasts that possess the strength and endurance of 100 horses.
3. National Wallace Monument
The William Wallace Monument, a towering tribute to Scottish valour, commands attention as we drive through Stirling. Its majestic silhouette against the backdrop evokes a sense of historical reverence.
4. Stirling Castle
Stirling Castle: One of Scotland's most iconic landmarks. Perched high on a hill, this castle offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside and a glimpse into Scotland's rich history. Learn about the famous battles that took place here and the heroes who fought for their country's freedom.

Doune Castle's enchanting allure, a blend of medieval splendor and rugged landscape, has not only captured history but also the spotlight in film and TV. Its iconic presence starred in productions like "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" "Outlander" and "Game of Thrones," weaving tales of fantasy and reality amidst its ancient stones.

Meet some Hairy Coos: a chance to meet some of Scotland's beloved highland cows. This is an opportunity to get some hot food before meeting Scotland's beloved highland Cows. You can not only pet but even feed these friendly creatures. This is a unique opportunity to interact with these iconic animals that are known for their long, shaggy hair and charming personalities.
7. Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park
The Trossachs: After a delightful time spent with the cows, we will continue our journey through the Trossachs, Scotland's first National Park. This stunning region offers some of the most picturesque landscapes in Scotland, with lochs, mountains, and forests. Along the way, our expert guide will share insights into the local history and culture, making the journey even more meaningful.
8. Glencoe
Glencoe: A beautiful valley steeped in history and surrounded by towering mountains. Here, you can take a stroll through the stunning glen and witness some of the most breath-taking views in Scotland.
9. Fort William
Fort William: Where the best views of the spectacular Ben Nevis, UK's tallest mountain, can be found. If you wish to stop here for some pics that is no problem at all, just ask.
10. Loch Ness
Loch Ness: Home to one of the world's most famous mythical creatures. Take a cruise on the loch and keep your eyes peeled for Nessie, with spectacular views of Urquhart Castle. Or simply soak up the stunning scenery and breathe in the fresh Highland air.
11. Cairngorms National Park
Cairngorms: As we continue our journey, we will pass through the Cairngorms National Park, a vast wilderness of mountains, forests, and rivers. Here, you can immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Scotland and spot some of the local wildlife, including red deer, golden eagles, and ospreys.
12. Pitlochry
Pitlochry: Situated in the heart of Scotland. Here, you can enjoy a leisurely stroll through the town's charming streets, visit the famous Pitlochry Dam and Fish Ladder, or simply relax in one of the many cosy cafes and restaurants.

Noel is an absolute gem! He picked us up at our hotel in Edinburgh and created a perfect day for us all the way out to Glen Coe and back. Our group included 3 generations ranging in age from 11-78. We stopped at a church in the adorable town of Linlithgow, passed by The Kelpies, toured Stirling Castle (tip: we spent a little too long there, recommend skipping the narrated tour outside and spending around 30-45 minutes walking through the castle and especially the grounds which are beautiful), fed the Highland Coos, stopped at a gorgeous Loch, had lunch in Glen Coe at the most adorable little place with terrific food, drove out to the coast, then stopped for some brief hiking and waterfall viewing on the way back. Our favorite was at the very end - the hiking, wading into the water and seeing the waterfalls. The area out west (Three Sisters and surrounding) was absolutely stunningly beautiful. For 10 pounds, I purchased a print of the hills that was painted by the girlfriend of a bagpiper who was playing at one of the parking areas on the side of the road. Noel was a great guide - so friendly, warm and kind - narrating along the way and giving us wonderful insight into the area, the history, and what we were seeing. He was great about stopping when needed for food/restroom, and was such an enjoyable person to spend the day with. He brought a cooler filled with drinks and snacks for us and ended the day with some whiskey - which we were too tired to enjoy - but really, really appreciated. This experience was our first of its kind and won't be the last - Noel is 10/10! Thanks for a wonderful day and for giving us such a memorable experience in Scotland!

The best parts of this trip were the guide, Stuart, and the beautiful Scottish scenery. We have traveled relatively widely, but my wife and I both agreed this was our favorite tour yet. You will not regret spending the extra money to do this private tour. The historical info and customization of the tour to your personal interests is a unique aspect. Also, who doesn’t enjoy capping off the day with some fine Scotch whiskey riding in a beautiful, clean tour van?

This trip is truly a bespoke tour. The description doesn’t do it justice. Noel is fully accommodating and willing to go anywhere you suggest! He tailored the trip to do exactly what we wanted and he was great company throughout! Don’t overthink this… if you want your own custom tour out of Edinburgh, book it with Noel!

Our private tour to the highlands was the highlight of our trip! Noel was an incredibly knowledgeable guide who answered every question we had as we drove throughout the day and gave us a ton of interesting historical facts and stories. We were able to customize the route to our interests and we never felt rushed at any stop. The van was comfortable and Noel even stocked it with snacks and a picnic blanket for a stop by one of the lochs. Overall an incredible experience!

Our tour was fantastic . Our driver Stuart (Badger) arrived 15 minutes early and texted us to come down whenever we were ready. He was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about Scottish history. Since this was a private tour, we were able to adjust some of the things we wanted to see and we started at Midhope Castle (Lallybroch from the TV show Outlander). Another benefit of a private tour was we were able to avoid the common stops with tons of tour busses for things like lunch and shopping. We added a stop at Culloden Battlefield near the end as well. We ended up keeping Stuart out past what the normal tour times were supposed to be but he was very accommodating to our wishes. We highly recommend Bonnie Scotland Tours and especially, Stuart.
