Great to see everything. The are very efficient. We loved it and did it at the beginning - one sees so much. It is Ferris wheel for sight seeing.

We enjoyed the brief history and the really cool views of the skyline. The line seemed long but it moved the whole time.
We also accidentally got the wrong day when we purchased it but the eye customer service was able to change it to the right day. This is the first time Viator ticket accident was ok. Usually you just lose money.

We were given tickets as a Golden Wedding Anniversary present. We chose to go in May because we thought the weather would be better. It wasn't! It was wet and cloudy, and although we couldn't see as far as you can on a sunny day, there was reasonable visibility.
There are toilets in a nearby building.
The security was good, and we managed to arrive in between big parties, so boarding was relatively quick. Quite why we had our photos taken against a green background was not explained to us. We were then given a bar coded ticket that no one looked at. Bit odd.
At this point, I must confess I hate heights.
Getting onto the pod isn't easy as it is moving slowly most of the time, although they do have a procedure for getting wheelchairs on and off.
There is a bench inside, and I sat down facing inwards. For most of the ascent, I kept my eyes shut, with a few glances at the scenery in between.
There is very limited commentary, which told us very little. With hindsight I wish we had upgraded to a package with a guide.
The ride is very smooth, with no unexpected bumps. When we reached the top I managed to open my eyes, and the descent was fine. I have spoken to others who have problems with heights who actually managed to stand by the rail and look out. I did not, but no one seemed to mind me just sitting.

Didn't end up getting onto the eye, bought a standard ticket or a specific time, but the lines were sooooo long , had other things to do after...

Fantastic views worth seeing the look of surprisement on our grandson face. Our 4 yr old Grandson thought it was a great adventure to go so high and could see the advert for Shrek plus big ben, boats on the river, and the large parliament building.

The panoramic ride on the wheel is beautiful!!
Among other things, we took advantage of the 2x1 voucher and therefore paid for just one person!

A little nervous about riding the London Eye but it was wonderful. Air conditioned and enclosed and very gentle. No problem for this scaredy cat.

Staff was very helpful to our friend with a cane. In fact the capsule could accommodate a wheelchair. We were blessed with a sunny day and could see for miles. Line moved quickly. Ride was 1/2 hour long. Really enjoyed.
