Climbing up to the top of the basilica is hard but well worth the view. Inside the Basilica is jaw dropping.

Our guide was amazing and we learned so much from her( we can’t remember her name). The views from the top were incredible and the climb wasn’t bad. Don’t miss the views from the top

Great tour with very informative guide who had a great sense of humour. For this tour, as of early May 2024 there are no express lines for groups, we had to join the same line as everyone else to get into the basilica. At 7.15am it was only a short wait (10-15mins) before we got through.
The guide was with us the whole way and kept us entertained with facts while we waited.
Taking the elevator for the stair climb is definitely recommended, there’s still 300 odd steps after using the elevator and it’s quite a way to the top. The view is worth it though!
The rest of the basilica is breathtaking and we covered as much as we could (including the crypt) in the time we had.

A very nice experience in the morning when it was not so crowded. Friendly, professional guide who told and showed us a lot of interesting things. I definitely recommend a guided tour of the basilica, as the visitor gets a broader picture of the city, the religious image of the world and the country itself.

This was a really great tour. Our guide Siri was very knowledgeable and really made an effort to connect with the group and share her knowledge. The dome climb was fantastic, and we covered off the most important areas of the Basilica before heading down to the crypt, which was fascinating. 10/10.

Everything it promised. Informative guide. Punctual and easy to find. The early time slot was perfect--we beat the crowds and were able to really enjoy St. Peter's.
