Sigiriya, an ancient palace, was once nominated as the 8th wonder of the world. Today, Sigiriya and Dambulla are a UNESCO recognized heritage site and a major tourist attraction. The city of Dambulla is 148 km north-east of Colombo, in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. It is home to an ancient cave Temple also known as the Golden Rock Temple, which is a popular tourist attraction. Approximately 25kms from Dambulla is Sigiriya, which is where you will find the “Lion’s Rock”. This is a 220 metre high rock, at the top of which an ancient King built his Palace. In addition to being a well maintained model of ancient urban life, Sigiriya is also an adventure of rock climbing for many. A day tour of Sigiriya and Dambulla will suffice for you to explore Sri Lanka’s Majestic past. Leave from Colombo at about 6.00 am, enjoy the scenic four hour drive to your destination, explore the two cities, and be back to Colombo by midnight.

Our guide (Dilshan) and driver (Kalum) met us on time at our AirBnb. We enjoyed a tall AC van ride while Dilshan answered questions. At the rock, an expert guide told us 10x more than most guides would have. My 15yo went pale and needed a break from the climbing. These three guys took care of my kid like a mom; something I will never forget. The included lunch is actually very lovely homemade food (not a commercial restaurant). The cave temple was amazing. I highly recommend this tour for ages 12-60 due to the steep climb. Dilshan and Kalum, you confirmed the people are the best in SL and nature is #2 xo

We had such an axing experience with Blue Lanka Tours, highly recommend anyone planning a trip to Sri Lanka to get in touch with them. Right from the start we worked with one their agents, Nimesha, who care carefully constructed the ideal trip for us. We went back and forth a number of times in which she considered all our preferences. It was a very well constructed itenirary, not a random cut and paste of typical tours. They were an extremely professional and courteous company to deal with.
Once we landed in Sri Lanka we met our guide and driver at the airport, chanaka, who was extremely amazing through out the tour. He was so knowledgeable and resourceful during our stay in Sri Lanka. We enjoyed every minute of it. Do request him if you book with blue Lanka Tours!

I landed in Srilanka on the 23rd February with three others my family at airport was your tour guide Mr Prakash who welcomed us beautifully with garlands and our tour started he followed our itinerary systematically without any hesitation he was very kind 😇 and nice to us ,he was always on the double to help us .we attended temples 🛕 stayed in 5 different Hotels 🏨 with beautiful beaches ⛱️ as days pass by we started loving ❤️ Srilanka more and more with a loving tour guide like Prakash had no problems. We spent days in Srilanka did shopping 🛍 and he took us to all the shopping 🛍 centres which was of great help
The beaches ⛱️ are beautiful and the hotels are wonderful nothing more to say my great appreciation to Prakash a great and wonderful person you are lucky to have him in your department its a boon. Returned with tears in our eyes 👀

Starting from the organization through the stay itself, our experiences and memories will be wonderful. Great organization, great attention to detail and it was the first time we encountered such great professionalism. During the trip, we could count on flexibility at any time and that our expectations would be met. I recommend it without hesitation.

Blue Lanka was great to work with in organizing a 9-day tour around Sri Lanka for the three of us (husband, wife, and toddler). They were very flexible and accommodating of our preferences and tailored the trip to our wishes. Everything went perfectly and smoothly from our arrival at the airport to all of our various hotels and destinations and back to the airport for our departure. Although it was technically a lot of moving around to different locations just about every day, it didn't feel like too much -- transportation was smooth and comfortable and all of our accommodations were superb. The whole trip was so well planned out, we never had to wait around or figure out things like tickets or meals or bathroom stops on our own. We had an excellent tour guide -- Chanuka -- with us for the duration of the tour. We felt well taken care of and overall had an amazing trip to Sri Lanka!
