The tomb of Ramesses III, designated as KV 11, is a complex system in the Valley of the Kings. It has been known since antiquity,the wonderful decorations include colourful painted sunken reliefs featuring the traditional ritual texts (Litany of Ra, Book of Gates etc) and Ramses before the gods. Unusual here are the secular scenes, in the small side rooms of the entrance corridor, showing foreign tributes, such as highly detailed pottery imported from the Aegean, the royal armoury, boats and, in the last of these side chambers, the blind harpists that gave the tomb one of its alternative names: ‘Tomb of the Harpers’
5. Tomb of Merenptah
In Egyptian mythology, Ptah is the demiurge of Memphis, god of craftsmen and architects. He was the fifth son of Ramesses III and was appointed to the position of crown prince by the twenty-second year of his father's reign when all four of his elder brothers predeceased his promotion to crown prince .

We were really satisfied with Abdul’s knowledge, and professional demeanor when guiding us through our visit for the Valley of the Kings and Habu Temple. He made our visit richer with his enthusiasm for Egyptian History, and readily answered all of our questions. He was on time, and attentive to all our needs during the tour. Picked us from our hotel lobby and returned us back, including a ride on a boat to cross to the Nile river’s West Bank and our car rides to the sites. We happily recommend Abdul to anyone visiting Luxor.

Can’t beat Khalid and Ahmed’s attention to detail and comfort for anybody traveling in Luxor! 10/10 for us would recommend to anybody both so friendly and Khalid knowledge of Egyptian history knows no bounds

This tour was a great way to experience much of the great sights of the west Bank. Our tour guide, Khalid, was very knowledgeable and friendly. The tour covers many interesting sights, and our guide provided information about the history and significance of the different tombs and monuments, as well as information about their discovery.
I would highly recommend this tour!

This was a fantastic tour of the West Bank. I loved that we took a motorboat across in the morning to save time and beat the crowds. Valley of the Kings was incredible and our guide, Khalid, recommended that we see the tomb of Ramses V/VI as an extra and it was so worth it! Valley of the Queens and the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut were amazing and we got fantastic photos.
I definitely recommend this tour!

We had an amazing tour with our guide Hamdy! As two women traveling alone, he made us feel so safe and looked after. He was most knowledgeable and spoke well in English. We often found ourselves completely alone in places, avoiding the crowds for special moments in the tombs or temples. He timed our visits thoughtfully. Highly recommend adding on the sunrise hot air balloon ride (although we were quoted a higher price than offered by our hotel) it was an unreal experience.

This is one of those tour you will remember for a lifetime. Luxor Travels is the company to go with. Not because you have limited options; actually there are lots of other tour companies in Luxor. What makes Luxor Travels different is that they actually send you out with a real Egyptologist like Abdo. So is like going out on a tour with Zahi Hawass; if you know the man. Abdo is actually a student of his! My kids got quite history lesson with him! Communication as perfect with the tour manager (Ragab El Motgalye) via whatsapp +20 122 4689271. The price was on the range of other tours. They picked us up around 8:30 as it was a short drive to the valley from our hotel. Nice van, safe driver (you need one in Egypt. They drive very fast). Abdo made sure to keep my kids engaged; they had a lot of fun. We felt like we went out with an old friend and not just someone that we met that day.

This tour was fantastic. We had done a fantastic tour and were hoping for the same. We found it. The tour was just us. Our tour guide was Kahid who was a weath of knowledge. The guide can make or break the tour as we had used a diff company for the East Bank the day before. Highly Recommend!

Our family of 4 spent 2 half days with Ragab as our guide and we would highly recommend him and this tour company. He is very knowledgeable about ancient Egypt and all of the sites and history. He made sure everything was efficient and on time without rushing us. He took the time to explain what we would see ahead of time and kept my teenagers engaged from beginning to end. I also appreciated the flexibility to split the tour into 2 half days and how he expertly organised the timing to avoid peak crowds and to ensure we saw Luxor temple at sunset so we could appreciate it both in daylight and lit up in dark.
He even bought us lunch before the tour ended and ensured a smooth return to our hotel via boat. He really went above and beyond. Highly recommended.
