During our 2-Day Van Tour guests will spend a total of 6 hours whale watching, providing them with the best chance for an up-close and personal encounter with the Gray Whales. Each tour will be led by a Marine Biologist guide, explaining in detail the biology and history of these gentle giants. The guide will also takes photos during the tour, which are provided to our guests free of charge.

Because of its location and ecosystem, Magdalena Bay is home to many other species, including dolphins, turtles, many sea and migratory birds. The lagoon is sheltered by the sandy barrier islands of Isla Magdalena and Isla Santa Margarita from the Pacific Ocean where coyotes can be spotted occasionally while whale watching in the bay. The mangrove swamps offer sea birds shelter and food, making it a perfect habitat for them.

If an intimate encounter with mother and baby Gray whales is on your bucket list, you will be sure to love this tour!

My wife and I took the day Grey Whale trip to Puerto Chale. We were with 5 other folks. Everyone was pleasant to be with. Gisela was our AWESOME guide. The trip was exactly as advertised. Pick up at 6am, 4-ish hour drive in the van to Puerto Chale, the panga left and returned to the dock exactly on time, lunch at the dock and 4-ish hours back to Cabo. It is a long day. This is a very isolated location. I found the scenery to be stunning. Got to the area with whales after a 20 min ride in the panga. More whales than we could count. Greys seem to like coming up to the pangas - much more than humpbacks. Many whales breaching, doing the pectoral fin flop. Big highlight was the spy-hopping behavior that I believe is unique to these guys. Not uncommon to look across the water and see half a dozen whales sticking their heads out of the water doing the spy-hopping. We have used WWC for the last six years. They have never disappointed, I've never felt they were jeopardizing ours or the whales safety. Did I mention Gisela is AWESOME

Frequent visitors to Cabo and planned this trip around this Whale Watch Tour. Amazing! Whales everywhere. Saw all behaviors... breaching, tails, flippers, pie holes. Got up close and touched a young whale that came right up to our boat. Thanks to Bea, Maria and our 2 captains. Learned much from Bea and the captains worked to get us close to the whales. Highly recommend this tour. The company is easy to work with and will take care of you.

This trip exceeded my expectations. The guide was fantastic. The driver was very helpful and had good English skills and useful knowledge. The whales were amazing. Both three hour boat rides were full of excitement and beauty. The bay is beautiful, but it is hard to take your eyes off the whales. We saw over 100. One baby rode on the back of her mother right next to our boat. Another mother and baby glided under our boat, almost within touching distance. Yet another whale surfaced after being under our boat, blew water on us, and continued on showing her tail. Beautiful.
I had heard that the roads from Cabo to the Bay were bad. Not true. The ride was easy and comfortable. The van even felt roomy.
Most of the food was quite good. Especially the prepared sack lunch for the first day and the dinner that night. The only food not so good was the second day's sack lunch. We had the option of eating lunch at a place at the bay, but made the wrong choice of taking the sack lunch instead. Otherwise, a fantastic trip. Well worth it.

This trip was the last week in January. Even the guide said it was early; that the whales hadn’t quite migrated there yet. We did see a few mamas and babies. I was expecting to see the whales come up to the boat and to touch them as it shows in their advertisement. Very disappointed ☹️. Someone said they went end of February and March and they saw lots and touched them. I would like my money back so I could go again but later.
