Located just 15 minutes from the Anaheim Resort Area is the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum. The museum features nearly 70 major exhibits, 30 unique multi-media experiences, 11 original films, 12 custom digital interactives, 10 curated archival film sequences, more than 600 photographs, 8,000 square feet of wall murals and more than 300 artifacts.

This museum is so interesting. I could have spent the entire day here. The docents are excellent and enjoy their job. I have been to several presidential libraries and this one is one of my favorites. After visiting here, I realized that Nixon was actually a good president. I don’t believe the historian rankings that put him near the bottom. That is truly what we have been told to believe, but I have reassessed what I have been told about various people during the last few years. My visit here taught me that he was a complex individual who did a lot of good.

The museum is chock full of memorabilia from Richard Nixon's early life, adult career, and presidential tenure. It is a well-organized museum. As a bonus, his childhood home is next door and included in the tour. I went away with a better understanding of Richard Nixon and appreciation of his rise from farm boy to president.

Excellent place to visit. Expected to stay two hours but spent five. The gardens were beautiful So much history I had forgotten. The tour guides were especially helpful, with lots of great bits of information. No question went unanswered. Makes me want to visit other presidential libraries now.

Well-made exhibition about the life and work of Richard Nixon. Even the Watergate scandal is covered in detail. Highlights are the 1:1 replica of the Oval Office, Nixon's birthplace, the presidential helicopter and the garden with the roses currently blooming beautifully in all colors. All of the staff, mostly senior citizens, are friendly and proactive in telling visitors more stories or details about Nixon's life. There is also currently an exhibition of oil paintings by George W Bush - also quite interesting. The Nixon Library is definitely worth a visit - even if I would have liked a few more hands-on stations like in the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. But I don't think any other library can compare to that.

I thought it was very informative and changed my perspective on some things about the President. I liked his childhood home and the details of his not a quitter attitude.

Very well done and they didn’t skip over the Watergate story in fact they started with it! It was a beautiful day so we enjoyed the peace and beauty of the gardens too. I had no idea just how many good things he had achieved while in office and so interesting to compare with the current Republican worldview.

The Nixon Presidential Library & Museum was my 8th presidential museum and it was another winner. I appreciated that the museum was so well balanced—it showed many of the positives of Nixon’s presidency that I don’t think many people consider—things like creating the EPA and passing the Endangered Species Act. But it was balanced and had what I thought was a very honest exhibit on Watergate. It was a really great mix of exhibits and videos. We also enjoyed seeing his birth home and helicopter. We were disappointed that we couldn’t find his gravesite—we’re not sure how we missed it.
I did think that the museum went in a very strange order—you start with his presidency, right through his resignation and then move into his youth, his Navy service and his Senate career. Just kind of an odd flow, especially compared to the other seven museums I’ve toured.
But overall, definitely worth a stop if you’re in southern California.

President Nixon’s reflection on his life, especially Watergate were so honest and moving. The whole Library was amazing. It brought back so many memories, good and sad. At times I was fighting back tears.

Such a well done library! Thoroughly enjoyed learning a few things we didn’t know about the President. Well ahead of the times with his brilliance and ingenuity. Highly recommend the tour.

We had such a wonderful time touring President Nixon’s -place of birth and childhood home. He and his wife are buried there. The museum is gorgeous with displays that will amaze you. It’s a great piece of American history celebrating the accomplishments of a President that history has tried to erase.
