3. Canal Ring (Grachtengordel)
The Grachtengordel (known in English as the Canal District) is a neighborhood in Amsterdam, Netherlands located in the Centrum district. The seventeenth-century canals of Amsterdam, located in the center of Amsterdam, were added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in August 2010.[1] The Amsterdam Canal District consists of the area around the city’s four main canals: the Singel, the Herengracht, the Keizersgracht, and the Prinsengracht. From the Brouwersgracht, the canals are generally parallel with one another, leading gradually southeast into the Amstel river. Many of the canal houses in the Amsterdam Canal District are from the Dutch Golden Age, 17th century. Many of these buildings, however, underwent restoration or reconstruction in various centuries, meaning that these building display many different architectural styles and facades

5. Westerkerk
The Westerkerk was built between 1620 and 1631 in Renaissance style according to designs by architect Hendrick de Keyser (1565-1621). He is buried in the church he designed earlier: the 'Zuiderkerk'. The building of the Westerkerk was finished and completed by his son Pieter de Keyser (1595-1676) and inaugurated on June 8, 1631. The church has a length of 58 meters and a width of 29 meters. The high nave is flanked by the two lower aisles. The three-aisled basilica has a rectangular plan with two transepts of equal dimensions. As a result, the plan for this church was given the form of two Greek crosses connected with each other.
6. Anne Frank House
The Anne Frank House (Dutch: Anne Frank Huis) is a writer's house and biographical museum dedicated to Jewish wartime diarist Anne Frank. The building is located on a canal called the Prinsengracht, close to the Westerkerk, in central Amsterdam in the Netherlands. During World War II, Anne Frank hid from Nazi persecution with her family and four other people in hidden rooms at the rear of the 17th-century canal house, known as the Secret Annex (Dutch: Achterhuis). She did not survive the war but her wartime diary was published in 1947. Ten years later the Anne Frank Foundation was established to protect the property from developers who wanted to demolish the block.

Amsterdam Centraal was designed by Pierre Cuypers, who is also known for his design of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. While Cuypers was the principal architect, it is believed that he focused mostly on the decoration of the station building and left the structural design to railway engineers

The famous skinny bridge across the river Amstel and opposite of the Carré theatre, is an Old Dutch design wooden bridge known as a double-swipe (balanced) bridge. Tradition relates that the bridge was named after the sisters Mager, who were supposed to live on opposite sides of the river. They are said to have had the wooden bridge built to make it easier to visit one another. However it appears more likely, that the original bridge acquired the name from being so narrow (mager means skinny in Dutch), that it was hard for two pedestrians to pass one along another.

The InterContinental Amstel Amsterdam Hotel, commonly referred to as the Amstel Hotel, is a hotel in Amsterdam, capital city of the Netherlands, on the east bank of the river Amstel. n 2007, it was the only hotel in the Netherlands on the list of World's Best Hotels, and was ranked in 90th place.[1] The Amstel Hotel is part of the InterContinental Hotels chain. In 2006 the building was sold to Morgan Stanley. In 2011 the Lebanese businessman Toufic Aboukhater bought the hotel. In 2014 the hotel was acquired by Qatar-based Katara Hospitality, but is still operated by the InterContinental Hotels Group

Disappointed in narration and information
Canned presentation lacked personal touch.
Captain had personality but I hoped for a tour of his city instead of an impersonal preset speaker.

90 mins is a bit long. The audio information gives 2-3 sentences every 3-5 mins. The captain speaks a lot via microphone (English) and give hand signs about which house the audio system is giving infos at the moment.

Including the snacks the tour price is okay.

Nothing great. We booked a nighttime cruise but it was still daylight at the end of the cruise. Nothing like the photo used to promote the cruise.

Comments on the night walk not suitable. They don't even tell you which way to look...they tell you about the street number even though it's dark and in the boat you are low in the canal. Very disappointed for the price paid. I think you should take a smaller boat to have access to more charming canals.

The sunset pictures, dancing houses, so many beautiful old buildings.
Exploring by boat,covering lots of area we wouldn't have been able to walk.

It was cold day, but the boat was heated and we were very comfortable. Love to all the enclosure and glass so we could see everything. Love the recorded tour very interesting.

Excellent moment of relaxation. The boat is very comfortable, the staff is very friendly and the audio commentary is very interesting. Additionally, the Amsterdam map 'inlaid' on the tables makes it easy to visualize the progress of the cruise

The weather didn’t cooperate. So it was raining the whole time. Don’t bother with the snacks. They were lame . The city views were still nice .
