Enjoy a 13-hour trip to one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites, the Bernina TRAIN railway, passing before along Lake Como and a beautiful Alpine valley. We stop in a charming lakeshore village and, possibly, later by a winery or old cellar experience or a cafè!
In Tirano you have around one hour for your lunch and then we board the Bernina TRAIN that climbs the Swiss Alps.
We get off at one the highest point to enjoy snowcaps and glaciers view.
(JUST IN CASE OF SEVERE WEATHER CONDITION WE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO REACH THIS POINT AND SWITCH TO ONLY A PARTIAL RIDE OF THE BERNINA TRAIN)
Afterward we head to St. Moritz where you have about 45 minutes to explore this fashionable resort, one of the most well known in the world.
At the end of it we go back to Lake Como, through another spectacular valley in Switzerland, from where you board the regular train for a ride on your return to Milan.

This was a wonderful day trip. David was our guide and made the transitions from train to bus flawless. Very nice small group adventure highly recommend.

The train ride was stunning! Our guide Danilo was knowledgeable, friendly and funny. Moritzio was out excellent driver. It was a long day but we packed a lot in. My favorite stop was Vareena. Wear layers as it gets cold in the Alps and good walking shoes for the walk from the train station to the town of St. Moritz.

Views were so beautiful, especially the white lake at the top elevation of 7,000! Definitely worth it! Our guide Alice was very informative! Fan on bus was very noisy in the back so we couldn’t hear Alice well on the bus because she was in the front always.

WOW, scenery was mind blowing.
Dan our guide was knowledgeable, funny, kind and made sure everyone had the best time,
What a truly lovely man with a huge passion for his job.
The Bernina train really does take you on a journey, climbing the alps into Switzerland, through quaint villages, imagine Heidi or Sound of music (if old enough). Sunshine to snow really was spectacular.
Lake Como was magnificent but as expected lots of tourists, spent just right amount of time there before it would have been too much.
So glad we did this trip. It’s a must! Something I’ll talk about for years and worth every penny!
None of the following should put anyone off, wear comfy shoes, quite a few steps but Dan made sure we went at pace that suited everyone, if you have motion sickness or are hungover, there are lots of windy roads (clearly climbing mountains) take tablets and jumper/jacket, no matter how hot in Milan.
It’s a LONG day, can do as much or little walking as you want but we were up at 6.30AM and didn’t get back till 9PM. Have an early night and not too many wines the night before. Big mistake on our part.

Our guide, Daniele, was just the best! He planned our stops so thoughtfully, including one at a winery with tastings and a tour of the cellar, gave us an abundance of historical information, told funny stories, and engaged with every member of our group. He even explained the workings of the European Parliament to my government-obsessed teenager, showed us the food court at the station so we could grab a quick dinner after the tour, and gave us a fun itinerary for our last day in Milan.
A twelve-hour trip makes for a long day, but it was thoroughly enjoyable, thanks to Daniele.

The scenery was AMAZING!!!! Our driver of the van was Fabio and he was so kind and did such a GREAT job with managing the narrow roads! Sylvia was our guide and she was FABULOUS! So personable and knowledgeable!! We LOVED HER and appreciated her so much !!! The train ride was unforgettable!!!!

Paula is indeed an excellent tour guide! Knowledgeable of her experience, sharing it with us. It was beneficial, and it made sure we were all comfortable. She also volunteered to take most of our pictures so everybody was included (we traveled in group of 8)

My husband and joined the tour in Milan and we were a small group of only six which made it so personal. This was truly one of the best tours I have done. Our guide Julia was outstanding, her knowledge, attention to detail and coordination of the day to maximise our experience made it so memorable.
