1. Goreme Panorama

2. Devrent Valley
our mind isn’t playing tricks on you. The shapes that the soft volcanic tuff has been shaped into over time resemble familiar animals and shapes. Some tuffs morph into the shape of a camel while others transform into a snake, or even a dolphin, across its lunar-like landscape. Regardless of what you see, the Devrent Valley let’s imaginations run wild in this veritable rock zoo.
3. Cappadocia
Lying in south central Turkey, the moonscaped region of Cappadocia, southeast of Ankara, is most famous for unique geological features called fairy chimneys. The large, cone-like formations were created over time by erosion of the relatively soft volcanic ash around them. Past cultures have dug into them to create dwellings, castles (like Uchisar) and even entire underground cities like Kaymakli and Derinkuyu, used as hiding places by early Christians. Nearby Kayseri is the gateway to the area.
4. Goreme Open-Air Museum
The Goreme Open-Air Museum resembles a vast monastic complex composed of scores of refectory monasteries placed side-by-side, each with its own fantastic church. It is obviously the first sight to be visited by any traveler in Cappadocia, standing as it does in the very center of the region with easy access from all directions.
5. Pigeon Valley
Pigeon Valley is a popular tourist destination located in the Cappadocia region of Turkey. The valley is known for its beautiful scenery, rock-cut dovecotes, and hiking trails. Some of the highlights of Pigeon Valley include: Rock-cut dovecotes: The valley is known for its rock-cut dovecotes, which were carved out of the soft volcanic rock by ancient people. These dovecotes were used to raise pigeons for food, and they are a unique feature of the valley. Visitors can see the dovecotes and learn about the traditional way of life in Cappadocia. Kaymakli underground city is built under the hill known as the Citadel of Kaymakli and was opened to visitors in 1964. The people of Kaymakli (Enegup in Greek) village have constructed their houses around nearly one hundred tunnels of the underground city. The inhabitants of the region still use the most convenient places in the tunnels as cellars, storage areas and stables, which they access through their courtyards. The Kaymakli Underground City has low, narrow and sloping passages. While the underground city consists of 8 floors below ground, only 4 of them are open to the public today, in which the spaces are organized around ventilation shafts.
7. Urgup
The Cappadocia region's most upscale and contemporary tourist city, Urgup has a number of lovely hotels, many built in and around centuries-old cave dwellings. The city and its surrounding area are known for their mysterious fairy chimneys, early Christian rock churches and fine vineyards. A mix of ancient and modern, Urgup is a center for traditional handmade carpets, but also has a lively nightlife. Hot air ballooning is very popular, and a fantastic way to see the area's beauty from above.
8. Uchisar Castle
Uchisar is situated at the highest point in Cappadocia, on the Nevsehir-Goreme road, just 5 km from Goreme. The top of the Uchisar Castle, provides a magnificent panorama of the surrounding area with Mount Erciyes in the distance.
9. Avanos

10. Pasabag
Pasabag in Cappadocia is located on the road to Zelve, coming from Goreme or Avanos. Highly remarkable earth pillars can be seen here, in the middle of a vineyard, hence the name of the place which means: the Pacha's vineyard. Pacha means "General", the military rank, in Turkish and it is a very common nick name. This site is also called Monks Valley. The name was derived from some cones carved in tuff stones which stand apart. Currently, there is a vineyard and a number of tuff cones standing right next to the road.

Our guide was Ayse and she was AMAZING. Before heading out in the morning she gave us a preview of the day and asked if we wanted to make modifications.

We did a total of 5 stops and she explained the history of each one. She is very knowledgeable and friendly. Her enthusiasm for Cappadocia is contagious. Thanks to her, we fell in love with the place.

I would strongly recommend her. Two thumbs up, way up!

It was a wonderful tour! Apart from exploring the wonders of Cappadocia, it was made extra special because of our lovely and very accomodating guide, Bensu & driver Davut! Bensu excellently guided us about the places and entertainingly provide history. I will highly recommend this tour.

It was a day packed of the most important things to see in cappadocia.
Nice small group. The weather was good. The bus was always there. Lots of knowledge. I would recommend to maybe back some nibbles for the trip as the lunch was late
