The church of Pope John Paul II practically 4 meters from his birthplace. Inside there is a crypt dedicated to him as well as many of his photos and paintings. Holy water in small bottles is available as a gift.

We’d highly recommend this tour if you are hoping to experience a pilgrimage in Krakow. Our guide, Kristopher really made us feel welcome as he shared with us the history of the places we were visiting. My mother’s highlight was the cake which St. John Paul enjoyed in his youth after an exam or other special occasion.
It was a wonderful day where we could relax and take in important places on our first visit to Krakow.

Our guide Chris was excellent. He alerted us that one of the museums was temporarily closed but substituted another stop for us. He know the history of every site we visited.

Yesterday, we experienced one of the most memorable tours of our lives. Chris picked us up, right on time, from our hotel for a drive towards Lagiewniki where we visited the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy with its adjoining old church and monastery of Sr Faustina.
Chris was a fountain of information, tellings us stories, dates and even more than what we could absorb in one go.
We then drove to Wadowice where after visiting the cathedral where Pope John Paul II was baptized, we visited his home and museum which I must say was so well organised.
This was followed by a short drive to the Sanctuary of Kalwaria Zebrzydowska for another very informative and interesting tour of the church and surroundings.
Chris was ever so calm, patient and relaxed and gave us all the time we needed when we took longer to examine details or for shopping.
There are no words to thank him for such a wonderful experience.

Being guided by Chris is like talking to an old friend you haven't met in years. Chris is frank, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. He was always walking the extra mile. For example, at the Wawel Castle, when we wanted to just go down and meet Chris at the road entrance so as not to inconvenience him, he insisted on going up and meet with us because he wanted to tour us around the castle. He did not have to do this as it was not part of our itinerary - he toured us nevertheless.

Thank you Chris for making our trip really wonderful.

Thank you Chris ! Wadowice was the best experience and one that our family will cherish forever. My wife and I wanted to make a pilgrimage to Poland to visit the sites of St .John Paul II for a long time but due to the worldwide pandemic had to put this on hold. Chris was our chaperon, guide and driver during the time we were in Krakow. He’s knowledgeable, patient and kind and a fantastic driver and guide. We could have never done this without him. Thank you Chris!

Absolutely perfect! Highly recommend! Christopher was very professional, qualified, and accommodating. He speaks excellent English and was very knowledgeable and eager to share information. We really appreciated his pleasant personality. The whole day was a rewarding and valuable experience we will always remember. We will definitely be returning!
