The trip to the mine was well organised, we were kept informed of the itinerary and picked up at exactly the time quoted. The private transfer was comfortable and saved us a lot of time compared with the shared transport we would normally use. Our driver/guide was friendly, spoke good english and provided lots of interesting information on the way to and from the mine. The mine itself was not too busy, so it was easy to get photos and look around. There are queues at the mine entrance for each tour language and our group had about 25 people. There are toilets and food/drink/gifts available in the mine. The stairs and paths are in good order, but it is a long walk to complete the tour. There is lift back to the surface at the end. Overall it was interesting trip and something different to the rest of our weekend in Krakow.

We did 4 tours with Chris, with the Salt Mine Wieliczka Guided Tour with Private Transport from Krakow as the 3rd one. We only did the transport with him this time as only authorized guides employed by the mine can guide inside. Chris took the time to buy the tickets a day before to make sure that we got into the mine at the time we wanted. Thanks to that, we don't have have to wait for hours as the mine was super crowded. He picked us up and dropped us at the salt mine punctually. He would explain to us the history of the mine during our way there. During the way back, he would answer all the questions we had. He waited patiently outside the exit just to make sure that we did not have difficulty in finding him after the tour. Super recommended! Super dobry!

We booked Chris for airport transfers, a Salt Mine tour, a tour of the town and a visit to Auschwitz, On arrival in Krakow it was raining, Chris advised us that instead of taking the town tour which we had originally planned we should visit the Salt Mines instead. This was a great idea, we went straight from the airport to the Salt Mines and had an absolutely fantastic visit, Chris was waiting for us outside, exactly where he said he would be, and timed our visit to the minute (2 hours 20 minutes).

The transfer was easy and pleasant and it was so nice to have the private transfer and also have someone to help you buy the tickets etc. Everything is taken care of with Chris and his prices are great.

We were picked up outside our hotel on time as agreed and we had a very comfortable journey to the salt mine which is amazing and well worth a visit. Chris waited until our tour was complete to take us back to our hotel. He is very knowledgeable of Krakow's history and interesting to listen to. He also arranged our trip to Auschwitz- Birkenau and a walking tour of Krakow. We were very well looked after and would highly recommend his services.

What an utterly unique experience! I’m not sure what we expected but certainly not the marvel we saw. This is a must see for a visit to Poland. Very well organized but note that it’s about 800 steps down! (There are ADA options) luckily a little elevator takes you back up! We had a great day with Chris.. he was a wonderful guide and we loved the little restaurant across the street for lunch! Very fun day!

So happy we arranged for tours and transfers before arriving.
Stress free, so reliable.

Waited until our tour finished and then dropped us at the city centre as we requested.

Highly recommend.

Chris was meticulous with the details from the very beginning. We hired him for the day to drive us to the Wieliczka Salt Mines and then to Auschwitz-Birkenau. He suggested that it was best to visit these two sites in this order because the concentration camps would be less crowded in the afternoon. He arrived at our hotel in Krakow several minutes early with tickets to the Salt Mines with an English speaking guide in hand. The tour itself is fascinating especially when you realize how many meters underground you are. I must admit that several of the exhibits were corny and left us feeling like we were on Pirates of the Caribbean but the sheer magnitude of these mines is just astounding. One of the people we were traveling with did not partake in the Salt Mine tour so Chris accompanied him around the area and gave him his own personal history lesson.
At the end of the tour Chris was waiting at the exit ready to drive us to our tour of Auschwitz-Birkenau .

This was day 3 of having Chris facilitate our appreciation of Krakow and the surrounding areas, and as usual he picked us up bang on time and on the drive to the Salt Mine gave us plenty of background info plus pointing out various historical sites on the way.
The mines are fantastic and by that I mean human endeavour never ceases to astonish. 300 km of tunnels I seem to remember (I think we walked around 5k) and an underground cathedral! I won't mention the other surprises, but there are a few and although some of the stops along the route are a little bit Disney-ish, it has to engage all age groups, and is nonetheless very enjoyable. Be warned, this is a very popular tour and it can take some while to get back to ground level from 100 metres down or so.

The driver showed up at the hotel 10 minutes early and provided a thorough review of what to expect. He dropped us at Wieliczka and then purchased our ticket for the individual tour in English. We had a great guide, very fluent and knowledgable. Note that there are quite a few steps and the tour involves about 1.5 miles of walking. The salt mine and the history were fascinating. The trip ends by ascending a different mineshaft than the one at the entrance. As we emerged from the exit our driver was right there saving us the time to walk back to the entrance.
