Price too high for the tour. The guide was very nice but not a lot of information about the history of each site was provided. We enjoyed the day. Both sites are beautiful. Advertised as a 10 hour experience but in reality it was more like 8.

These two locales are significant in French history yet do not share the same crowd level as Versailles which makes for a great experience. Our driver/guide had a good knowledge of both sites. A few minor things - skip the expensive and average lunch on-site at the Fontainebleau palace and eat in town. Also, you will be using audio guides at each site so I’m not sure that it’s much different than the other Viator tour of both sites that is less expensive.

We enjoyed our guide Victor who was very nice. Fontainebleau was impressive and well worth visiting. We especially liked seeing the second chateaû Vaux-Le-Vicomte. It has a unique history and significance. We had a delightful lunch at Fontainebleau at a place Victor recommended. Everything went smoothly. We highly recommend.

These two chateaux are hard to reach by public transportation, and this tour offered the perfect solution. It was a full day of learning about history and architecture, touring opulent interiors and beautiful gardens, and enjoying a very comfortable and air-conditioned ride. I would never have been able to visit both chateaux in one day if it wasn’t for this tour, and it cost about the same as visiting just Fontainebleau by metro/train/taxi. Plus, our guide was terrific!

The chateaux were gorgeous. Loved renting a golf cart at Vaux. Wonderful to be in the countryside away from the Paris crowds. On the negative side, our guide Victor, though an excellent driver, lacked guiding skills. He was not assertive and was very hard to understand at times, forgetting key names and dates. Care for the group could have been better. Some more training would help.

This was a fantastic tour. We thoroughly enjoyed both Fountainbleu and Vaux-le-Vicomte. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. She gave us lots of pertinent information that helped us to understand the time period of both Chateaux. There was ample time for lunch, and also a quick stop at a 12th century castle. I would highly recommend this tour.
