Discover the American sectors of the Normandy D-Day landing beaches with a guided private tour. This tour is suitable for a maximum of 7 passengers who do not wish to share the tour experience with other clients.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

WHAT TO EXPECT

1. Omaha Beach
You will be given a great overview of the beach landings that took place on Omaha Beach on June 6th, 1944. After which, you will have around 15 minutes free time to walk on the sand (depending on tidal conditions) where American forces landed on D-Day.
2. Cimetiere Americain de Colleville-sur-Mer
The guide will lead you into the incredible American Cemetery and explain many key facts about when it was built, why it is located where it is and many of stories of the men and women who are buried here. You will be given around 45 minutes free time to explore on your own.
3. Pointe du Hoc
You will learn about the role of the American Rangers on D-Day who had to scale the cliffs at the Pointe-Du-Hoc to silence long range German guns. You will be given sufficient free time to explore on your own after the explanations given by your guide.
4. Sainte Mere Eglise
We stop at Sainte Mere Eglise to explain the importance the 82nd Airborne operation on D-Day. At this location, we will stay for 1 hour and 30 minutes. During this time, you will be given 1 hour of free time for lunch. Please note that lunch is not included in the price of the tour. Should you prefer, you can utilise the whole 90 minutes for your free time. You can grab a quick snack and then visit the impressive Airborne Museum. At the heart of Sainte-Mère-Eglise, facing the church where John Steele famously was caught, hanging from the bell tower by his parachute. The Airborne Museum makes you live and understand the D-Day from the invasion preparations in England, through to the battles for liberation. Board a glider and a C-47 aircraft with sound and light effects for a total immersion. You will also accompany the soldiers of the 82nd and 101st Airborne Division in the decisive battles of the Normandy Landings thanks to an hyperrealistic museography.
5. Utah Beach
Your guide will give you a detailed account of the landings by the American 4th Infantry Division before allowing you some free time to explore the many monuments that are located here.
6. Angoville-Au-Plain
Situated approximately 5 miles from Carentan, the small village of Angoville-Au-Plain witnessed heavy fighting between the German Paratroopers and American Paratroopers that dropped close by at dropzone D. After our 101st Airborne briefing, you will then hear the incredible story of two Airborne Medics. Kenneth Moore and Robert Wright displayed not only courage but also humanity during the desperate struggle to take this small area of Normandy.

This was our family's first trip to Paris and visiting Normandy was an emotional, profound experience for us. Rethro, our passionate, knowledgeable guide, brought us back in time and the events he so poignantly described will eternally be engraved in our hearts and souls. We were all moved and left with a deeper appreciation to the sacrifice and bravery of so many young men. Thank you for sharing the events of D-Day with us.

We had a great time on this tour. Pascal was so passionate and informative! He took us to all the important spots and gave us some time to browse through several of the museums and sites on our own. At the time of our visit, they were making preparations for the 80th anniversary of D-Day, so some areas were blocked off, but we still had a great experience. Really enjoyed being at the American Cemetery for the lowering of the flag and taps. Only wished we could have had more time - the day flew by!

There are not enough positive adjectives to describe our experience in Normandy with Bayeux Shuttle. The weather was cool and it was either raining or misting, but the tour was amazing. The guide, Jordan, scaled his presentation to our level of knowledge of D-Day. He has seen all of the movies, read all of the books and done all of the research. He was informative and entertaining. He told us stories and showed us things that don’t appear in the Stephen Ambrose books. Learned a ton and our teenage kids loved it too.

Excellent tour for a first approach to Normandy, the beaches and cemeteries. Even with the jammed circulation on June 4 we did our full day excursion itinerary.
Marine was our outstanding tour guide / driver.
Knowledgeable on WWII beyond expectations, she is an expert and can be challenged by historians !
Our group of 7 had three relatives of veterans and she was gracious to give so much information about their particular units.
Excellent experience ! !

We can’t say enough great things about our guide Marine. We visited on 4/6/24 and took the train from Paris and went to the wrong pick up location. Marin didn’t miss a beat and got us. She then expertly navigated the 80th anniversary celebrations while providing us the full tour experience. Her knowledge of the history and ability to answer general questions as well as other guests specific family questions and locations were superb. She was unflappable, even when another vehicle hit her side view mirror! We would recommend this tour to anyone and wish we could’ve had more time to soak in the history and monumental occasion of the 80th anniversary. merci beacoup !

This was a life-altering experience. Our tour guide, Rethro, was incredible - he customized our tour to give us an educational and emotional day we won’t forget. He went beyond what we expected - his command of history and his perspective on the entire D Day operation was truly amazing!
Rethro took a history-book abstraction and brought it to real-world, emotionally wrenching life for us - and thank you, Rethro, for being so supportive as I dealt with the emotions of visiting my uncle’s grave.
