My goodness. We did not expect the vast variety of food that we experienced while on this cultural walking tour through Puerto Vallarta. There were so many types of tacos, fillings, meats, and sauces. The stories behind the food were fun and interesting , we are still telling them today. Great time, great tour guide. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

This tour is a MUST! Chris, was out tour guide and he was fantastic! He was very professional and took the group to some amazing and delicious locations. You can’t go wrong this this tour. Not only do you get to taste delicious authentic cuisines but you get a little city tour as well. A 2 for 1 deal can’t be beat. Also, come with an empty stomach- you will definitely get your monies worth. Happy Eating.

We just toured with Al today and it was awesome!!! The food he showed us would have taken WEEKS to discover on our own and everything was delicious and so much better than the resort food we had been eating. On top of it all Al answered all our questions, was engaging, and he truly loves PV. I saw him say hello to just about every shop owner as we walked around, his 35 years of PV living really showed. Would do his food tour again in a heartbeat.

Joana was our tour guide and she did a fantastic job! This tour was so delicious and so much fun. The first place we went to was a taco stand. Its peanut and rat tail salsa was fantastic. The next stop was Birria Robles and it was phenomenal. We also stopped for ceviche which had mahi mahi instead of shrimp and it was so good. At the chocolate factory we ended up buying coffee bags to bring home, and had the salted caramel, passionfruit, and baileys truffles which were so decadent. Another stop for seafood based tacos was ok, but not my favorite. We saw how corn tortillas are made, then we stopped for popsicles and had the soursop flavor. It was so refreshing. Lastly we stopped for tequila tasting with the best mole enchiladas I've ever had in my life.
Everything was so beautiful and the murals around town are a joy. I loved how much information Joana was able to share with us and that she was aware of food allergies for some in our group. Definitely worth the trip and it was so good to see different areas of puerto Vallarta. Will do another tour again.

I did both the Downtown Food Tour and the Taco Evening Tour, and they were both terrific. Al is a wonderful guide, really finds local owned places that have long histories in the city. There is some overlap between these two tours, but even though both visited a couple of the same places we had different dishes at all of them so it worked great. Would highly recommend.

We met at the gardens in Zona romantica, and then 10 of us strolled around the area into some little gems that we had missed when walking around the area on our own.
Joanna the host was knowledgeable and friendly, it was a pleasure to meet her.
She asked about allergies and advised on the food accordingly. All the food/ drink stops were delicious too many to describe, to sum up, if you want to discover some of Peurto Vallarta s hidden gems and learn sone of it's history and culture then this experience is a must, I highly recommend it.

We had walked through the romantic zone / old town earlier in the week but walked past many gems — family eateries that have been in Vallarta for generations. Come hungry! There was plenty to eat and a great variety of tastes and drinks. Alcibiades “Al” was a wonderful guide, friendly and very knowledgeable. I recommend you book early in your visit so you can go back and enjoy all the delicious places later in the week.

Thank you Meile and Fernanda for a fantastic taco tour!!! We enjoyed learning about Mexican taco culture! We would have only eaten at sit down restaurants if it weren't for both of you. I even dipped my toes into ceviche (not literally) and found it to be not only tasty but refreshing. We also learned fun facts about Puerto Vallarta along the way.
#1 rule when traveling is take the food tours, it never a bad time!
Did not leave hungry!!!!
