Coffee Tour only 45 minutes from the city of Medellin is San Sebastián de Palmitas or simply Palmitas as it is better known, it is one of the 5 corregimientos (divisions of the rural area) of the municipality of Medellín. It is located in the northwest of the city. Bordered on the north by the Municipality of San Jerónimo, on the east by the Municipality of Bello and the Corregimiento of San Cristóbal, on the south by the Corregimiento of San Antonio de Prado and the Municipality of Heliconia and on the west by the Municipality of Ebéjico . Awesome coffee tour with Valentina as our guide. She was hilarious and very knowledgeable. I learned a lot about coffee and I can apply my knowledge since I'm a scientist.

We absolutely loved this tour - one of the favorite things we did on our trip to Colombia! They were great with communicating with us all the details about the day, and were right on time to pick us up from the hotel. We did the english speaking tour with Amelia who was so knowledgeable and made the tour fun and interactive. The tour started with learning some history about coffee and trying a cold coffee drink. Then, we got to go through the whole process of picking coffee beans, de-shelling it, learning about the washing and drying process. We ended with getting to try 3 different coffee drinks, a delicious dessert, and then a traditional lunch. Could not recommend this tour enough!!

The tour was really good, but I do think it is over priced for what you’re actually receiving.
I can’t lie. The tour was very fun and entertaining and we really did learn a lot about coffee and the history behind it in a fun and dynamic way.
Our guide, Amelia, was very knowledgeable and was super fun to talk to and we were shook to find out that she was only 16 years old! She has an awesome personality, and we were all very interested in everything she had to say!
My husband came from the US and this was a gift so if you earn in dollars, this really isn’t that big of a deal but if you actually do the conversion then that’s when it becomes overpriced for what you’re getting in the tour.
