Setubal & Comporta Trip with Horseback Riding from Lisbon

Amazing experience, the horse riding on the beach was an inedite experience and the views were breathtaking. I would definitely do this again!

Was a great day. Afonso, our guide, was fabulous. He took the time to get to know us and our interests then made sure to point out things we would be interested in. He was a fountain of knowledge about Portugal and the area. Only suggestion would be to add a 30-minute stop at a local restaurant or add a picnic lunch before the horseback riding. Also, while the option to purchase photos for 15 euro was nice, the photos don't live up to the samples (for example, the samples show people riding beside each other and we were told we had to stay in a line). Minor detail that was beyond the control of the photographer. Most of the riding is spent getting to and from the beach, with about 10 minutes at the beach, but it was still a great ride.

We had a lot of fun. My first time riding was very enjoyable. The views of the beach and the ocean were wonderful! The driver took us to a couple of towns and markets which were also very interesting. The local sweets were very delicious.

I was a first time rider and very nervous. They made me feel comfortable and took care of my safety. Mr Artur was our tour guide he drove us around and shared a lot of insights about the city!
Would highly recommend:)

Arthur was wonderful and the horse ride was so beautiful. This trip had a lot packed into it for the short time. My only suggestion would be to shorten the market time or remove…while it was cool to visit an hour was a lot of time and it didn’t seem to add value….it would have been nicer to have some more time on the beach.

First of all I want to say our driver, Arturo, was personable, professional and a very nice, helpful person. Our leader on the horse ride was also very professional and a good leader. However there are two things about this excursion that Viator needs to be aware of. First of all I feel the excursion being labelled as "horseback riding on the beach" is very misleading. We spent less than 5 minutes on the beach. And the trek to get to and from the beach was too long (3 hours or so). Secondly, I was disrespected and mistreated by the owner of the horses when speaking to him about one of his horses who suddenly sat down (twice) while being ridden. I am happy to provide you with details, if you wish. For these 2 concerns, I would not recommend this trip.

The tour was very nice and Arthur was a very friendly guide. I enjoyed the experience and and the tour overall. The time went by so fast and the horses were very calm and easy to ride ?
