When traveling, I always try to hire local guides who can show me their town. But when your time is limited, it’s intimidating trying to find a perfect guide who will offer the most in a short visit.
Well, let me introduce Nabeel!
I stumbled upon Nabeel in a circuitous manner. And I can’t be happier after spending the day with him.
Nabeel picked me up at my hotel this morning. First, he wanted to know what I knew about the city and what I wanted to see and learn. Instead of parroting a script, or following the set route determined by others, Nabeel and I explored Cape Town in a way that showcased his city based in my interests.
Nabeel is knowledgeable about his city, the history, and the culture. But further, having experienced a diverse life, he was able to give a personal insight to life, food, culture, history, and religions from the perspective of a native Capetownian.
I am pleased with the tour he offered, and I would unequivocally recommend him to others.
But I have one regret … that I already have booked all my tours for the rest of my stay in Cape Town. If I were to do it again, I would book my entire week with Nabeel, from airport pickup to my transfer back to the airport on my last day. Working with one guide for an entire “package” works best for me, and when we come back in a few years, that’s what I’ll do.

We were picked up from our hotel and greeted by our enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide Nabeel. During the tour Nabeel gave us a detailed history of Cape Town and his extensive knowlegde was impressive. His customer service skills are impressive and we felt extremely comfortable with him. Overall the tour is a must do in Cape Town. Thanks Nabeel!!
