We start with the audio guide, which we quickly abandon to make the most of this very theatrical visit. Even with weak English, our guide manages to make us understand the subject, the interaction with the visitors is part of the show and the staging is brilliant. A beautiful visit on the theme of the history of Irish whiskey which ends with a tasting, if you have taken this option of course. To do absolutely.

Fun, interesting tour led by Andrew. Great background info on Irish whiskey history. The museum is located across the street from Trinity and the fully guided tour takes just an hour or so including the tasting at the end. We booked the premium tour that gives a 4th taste and glass at the end. Worthwhile even if not everyone in your party is a whiskey fan. Nice little shop and a bar on the premises.

We came on the tour despite not really being fans of whiskey. This really didn't matter as the tour is very interesting and explains how whiskey is made and how it became popular in Ireland and around the world.
Being able to try a variety of whiskey brands was good as it helped us understand what flavours we liked and what we didn't.
Well worth a visit

Was a very good experience. Well designed and I liked how you went through the different rooms. Learned a lot of whiskey and how it affects Ireland and the citizens. Also enjoyed tasting the different whiskeys at the end. I do like how they are impartial and have all different kinds of whiskey

Absolutely the best way to spend an hour of your day. Myself and the wife went on a Thursday morning for a 11.30am tour. The guide Colm was amazingly knowledgeable, friendly and funny.

Gave us both a great insight into whiskey and the history of it. Would 100% recommend paying the extra few € for the premium whiskey taste at the end and for the glass.
