Flam was one of the stops on our cruise and I decided to book the private tour with a stop at a Viking village for my husband, father, and me. It was outstanding!

Vlad sent me a text the night before to confirm, and picked us up on schedule in a comfortable car. We were able to get to scenic outlooks before the crowded tour buses arrived, rode on scenic roads that tour buses don’t go (including the top of a fjord), and learned many things about the area. Since it was just us, we were able to make changes on the fly. For instance, part of the tour ended up including a “hidden”community with a schoolhouse, stables, and small houses built a few hundred years ago, as well as a stave church. Neither was on the original itinerary, and neither replaced something that was. As we were talking Vlad had the idea they might be of interest to us, so he asked if we would want to see them. When we said yes, he was able to change his route to include them. The Viking village was also very interesting.

We never felt rushed, had a wonderful tour, and were back to the ship a couple hours before all guests had to be back on board.

Vlad was a fabulous tour guide, great with kids. He brought a homemade ginger drink and snack along. He also had great suggestions for additional stops. Highly recommend.
