You'll get a hands-on training from a qualified instructor.
You'll master how to make three types of sushi in just one experience. Sushi fish is a high quality and special order for this class. Even if this is your first sushi making experience, you will be amazed at how wonderful it is!
You'll also make yakitori (grilled chicken) as a side dish. Skewer fresh chicken thighs yourself and grill them with a savory sauce.
You'll learn miso soup from scratch. Your instructor will give you knowledge of ingredients to take Japanese broth.
Vegetarians are welcome. Let me know in advance if you have any dietary restrictions.

Made some really good miso soup and learned how to work with sushi rice which can be tricky. Instructor was friendly and informative!

We really enjoyed our sushi cooking lesson with Sakura! The instructors were very knowledgeable and friendly. They did an excellent job explaining each ingredient and step. And the food was delicious! It was definitely worth the price.

Really fun cooking class. Fumisan didn't just teach sushi techniques. She explains foundations and basics of Japanese cooking and their application to multiple dishes. Fun, friendly, educational, and efficient. Would take another class with her if my vacation permitted.

In a small group, we made really profesional looking sushi, mizo soup and marinated chicken. Fumi has a spacious profesional kitchen and sees to it that everyone can see and do all the steps in the process. It was a pleasure to be there and we got some really good tricks how to make sushi. Everything was very well organised, we didn't even have to clean the table. In the end, everyone had made a very beautiful sushi set - and with no experience at all!

This was the highlight of my trip to Japan! I recommend the experience to everyone! We made nigiri sushi, gun maki sushi and maki sushi as well as yakitori and miso soup from scratch. It was my first time to have toro (the fatty tuna) and I am now hooked. She was so patient and informative, and since everything was "hands-on," I know I can do it when I get back to the US. If you love sushi this class is for you!

I did a solo class with Fumi. She was very thorough in explaining not only the food, but the stories and history associated with what and why we were cooking. It was a very homey feel. Fumi was very patient in my unskilled talent with cooking. It was an overall great experience and I highly recommend.

I throughly enjoyed this class. This was actually my first cooking class. I wanted to try something new. My wife doesn't eat raw fish but was willing to take the class with me. I ate her share :-) I'd recommend the class and will take some more classes with the instructor if I'm in the area again.
