We booked private transport from and then back to the train station for our trip to Florence, Italy. Our pick up was great as we had a Mercedes SUV however our return to the station was quite disappointing. I booked transportation according to our checkout schedule, however I kept receiving messages from the booking agent suggesting a later pick up time. This may be seen as thoughtful however we needed to be out of our accommodations and had luggage for two couples so a later pick up was not an option and it was difficult to keep messaging with the agent as cell service was not always available. When our transportation arrived it was just an ordinary taxi. We could have called a taxi if that’s what we wanted and saved a lot of money. We paid $76 for the private transport bur the meter on the taxi when we arrived at the train station read 12,50 EU. Feeling ripped off. I wouldn’t recommend. Get a taxi, it’s very easy and much cheaper.

I had a 9am van reservation to arrive at the train station for a 10:03 flight, after multiple calls and waiting 45 minutes, speaking to Ciao Florence Tours multiple times, we piled into a taxi and didn’t make the train on time. Then Ciao Florence refused to refund the fees. Thankfully Viator is helping me out. But the missed train cost me an additional €90 and the loss of my first class tickets. If you get assigned Ciao Florence Tours, ask for a new vendor.
