Changing of the guards ceremony at the Geongbukgong Palace.
I would imagine how pompous the ceremony during those ancient times.

Great job by the tour guide, very knowledgeable, she made it interesting. Only the Ginzen part was a bit too commercial.

Great intro to the city! Sunny, our guide, did an amazing job explaining not only the sights but also the history and customs associated with each one. I have no idea where she gets her energy, but she is passionate and you can tell she loves what she does.

Our tour guide So Young Woo was very informative and helpful. She also had a great sense of humour. That’s about where the positives for this tour end.

The tour itself was fine. But we quite easily toured around the same areas by ourselves just walking. When inside the palace there was so many tour groups (it was a Saturday) that it was extremely difficult to hear much of what the guide was saying even though she had a microphone. It would have felt less rushed to stroll around at your own pace by yourself and get a private guide or visit a museum if you’d like more information. And visit at 10 or 2 for the changing of the guard ceremony.

I don’t think it was necessary to do a roll call 3 times during the half tour. We wasted time doing it and then waiting for someone to show up who had strolled off. Get yourself a local tour guide and do a walking tour instead.
