Spend a day in paradise at Xcaret, an eco-archaeological park located in the Riviera Maya. Discover an underground maze of rivers where Mayans once prepared for ceremonial rites, frolic in a lagoon, and snorkel in clear Caribbean waters. Keep your eyes peeled for birds, butterflies and monkeys as you wander the lush forested grounds and visit archaeological sites. When the sun goes down, settle in for a spectacular show of lights, music and dance highlighting Mayan history and culture. Convenient pickup and drop-off from most Cancun hotels are included.

Great park that let you experience the Mexican culture on a pleasant way and where you can easily spend a full day. Unfortunately many exciting activities require additional payment.

Xcaret IS NO LONGER EVEN A FOURTH OF WHAT IT ONCE WAS, you see people without the desire to work, glued to their cell phones, with a bad face and without knowing the park.
Since transportation is not the usual enthusiasm.
The TV didn't turn down well and only served 2
The transport is a black one (I understand that it is subject to availability but it is not the one you think will arrive)
When paying by card even though I had already paid for a photo package (which was useless since we asked the people in yellow for a photo as they said and they all turned away - this is not my area) and I asked for some covers, it was in process when I already We had taken them out and everything, they took them away from us because the payment was not going through and instead of having them accompany us or something to buy them somewhere else, they just left us standing there and left.
We went to fish therapy and they only welcome us and stay glued to their cell phones.
We are looking to buy covers and they don't want to sell them to you because they don't know how to get them off the shelf and even worse they tell you that they are "drawings" but you touch them and if anything 1 in 5 are "drawings".
The restaurant, the fried plantains swimming in oil, has no service attitude, the waiters, staff and even the captain start eating as part of the visitors, they clean their hands while they see you from afar and they are going to help you with what you ordered. reluctantly. The guacamole is powdered and frozen, the quality of the food is TERRIBLE and minimal variety.
TOTALLY DISAPPOINTING. Dead plants, I got soap on my snorkel because they didn't rinse it well. There are Monster cans where the Staff is, Definitely DISGUSTING, not what it once was.

The park is really beautiful. The interactions with animals were amazing and the evening show was impressive.

The transfers are good and comfortable. But: honestly Xcaret was the most expensive excursion we did and the one we liked the least. It's very artificial - the underground river mainly. We liked Xel-Hà, from the same group, much more.

Beautiful and wonderful place, perfect, has lots of activities and lots of cool things to do. The ticket is expensive, but it's worth every penny. Better to get xCaret Plus which already entitles you to several things.
The negative point is that there is no easy public transport, if you don't want to stay until the end of the show it is difficult to get around. Taxis charge whatever amount they want, from 25 pesos per person the taxi charges more than 1000 pesos.

The closing show is beautiful, but it takes a long time and then the end ends up being more of the same. Two hours into the show you're no longer paying much attention and your back hurts in the stands.
Otherwise, xCaret is the ideal ride.

We had a really good day here, quite expensive, I think we paid $130 each. We stayed from 9:30am until 9:45pm. There was lots to see, parrots, dolphins, turtles, sharks, jaguars, flamingos. The show was good in the day, the horse show was good too. I would say though Xplor was better, we did enjoy Xplor Park a lot more.

I’d also say that if we hadn’t done any additional activities the day would have just been okay, we booked the sting rays and the dolphin encounter, for an extra $115 each, so that then makes the day about $250 each with the extra activities. These were very fun and made us have something to look forward too, the man talking to us about the stingrays was so informative and funny.

The evening show was okay, very Mexican orientated, the traditional ball game was good and the fire ball game, however I did get a bit bored after about the 1.5 hour mark, and the show was from 7pm until 9pm. It was also quite cold as well as they had huge fans above head.

We had the Xcaret plus, so we got a locker included (held a backpack), snorkelling gear and a buffet meal, there is 5 buffets to choose from, we went to the sea food one accidentally as they aren’t labelled the best, and it was very very sea food orientated, not much choice other than sea food, so make sure you check what the cuisine is like in the buffet you go to.

Also, being a water bottle as there were lots of water bottle refill stations situated all over the park.

The park itself is beautifully designed and consists of two parts. A cultural part with a Mayan village and animal enclosures and a water park. In the evening there is a big show about Mexican history. A river made of sea water is one of the main attractions included in the entrance fee. You have to book almost all of the other attractions separately and they are not exactly cheap. Considering the fact that the ticket (with shuttle and buffet) cost €160, I found that more than steep. I also found swimming with dolphins sad. The dolphins are trained to give people kisses and you can let them pull you through a small pool for a mere $130 (30 minutes in the pool). That is animal cruelty. I hope that not too many people will support this. Overall it was a nice day but not recommended for the price!
