The visit starts in Zaanse Schans, where you will be able to take pictures of typical Dutch windmills that are still in use today. Afterward, we will drive to the Waterland area, passing through the beautiful villages from this part of the country: Edam, Volendam, and Marken. In Edam, we will walk through historic sites like the square where the famous Cheese Market used to take place. Then, near Volendam, we will visit a local cheese producer, where the cheese master will explain how they produce Gouda and Edam cheeses. In the clog factory, you will discover the secrets of this typical Dutch shoe. Then, travel back in time to the 17th century as we walk by cozy fishermen houses in Marken, the fishing harbor, and the protestant church.

Miguel was our tour guide and he was great.
We beat the line at the first stop (at the Windmills).
Bus was clean and comfortable.

The trip was excellent, I really loved the places we visited and it was very joyful. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy a true experience of Holland especially the cheese and shoes place. However my low rate for this experience came from the tour guy Karl. He is a knowledgeable and funny guy but sometimes he just gets too funny in a not appropriated way. At one of the locations, I had a great lunch (as we were told to do in this stop) then I asked the waitress for the check, however, they were so busy and didn’t gave it to me on time. I tried to do my best to not be late for the group. Unfortunately I was late for 5 minutes which I never did before in all my trips because I know that something you don’t want to do. However, sometimes things just go out of your control. When I’ve arrived back to the bus Karl was yelling my name and asking me why I weren’t running ? (maybe he was trying to be funny again tho) I told him sorry I couldn’t. Then he spoke to everyone in the group asking them to make sarcastic clapping for me and pointing that I’m the one who made them late. Now he might find this funny, I didn’t. Because the last thing you want in your vacation is to be ashamed and embarrassed that much for something wasn’t under your control. After that I was off the whole trip and couldn’t enjoy anything because of what happened. I couldn’t even ask for the toilet after that even when I need it because I believe he would make a joke of that too. He might still thinking what he did was funny and made the day for the others, but that was over my feelings and happiness. Well, I’m a confident and positive person so I was able to get over it within an hour after the end of the trip. However, some people might be affected by this for days and that why I’m writing this record so he stop doing that for people. It’s just not a nice thing to do for people on vacation.
Other than that the trip’s locations are great and you should go for it.

We had 1 day to squeeze in Amsterdam. This tour was perfect! We were able to see quick highlights of great sites. Our tour guide Karl was amazing, he was fun and filled the time with great information.

Our tour guide, Xavier was amazing. He provided great information and tips on how best to experience places visited. But a delayed start resulted in a compressed schedule. There was insufficient time at each location. It was a hectic, long day and we should not have booked the canal cruise. We were too exhausted to appreciate the experience.

Karl was an excellent tour guide and so much fun. We really enjoyed this tour and all the stops. The lunch place in Volendam was delicious and we learned a lot of Dutch history.

Our tour with Karl was very informative and worth the money! I would recommend this trip for anyone looking to fill a day while in Amsterdam. There is quite a bit of walking involved, so you need to take that into consideration.

We really enjoyed this tour. Each stop was a beautiful town. Great way to see the countryside from Amsterdam. Rob was a top notch tour guide - very friendly & so knowledgeable. Bus was very nice too.

Thoroughly enjoyable tour. The places we visited were varied and interesting, and our tour guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend it to anyone thinking of doing it.
