One of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever encountered.

Could not make the tour and needed to cancel for personal reasons. I arrived in Mexico City after the 24 hour cancellation period and called to cancel. The tour guide showed up to the hotel and I said I wanted to cancel, which she said that was okay, after she made a call to her office.

I was still on the hook for paying for the full amount for a private tour, which cost more than my flight alone. I was on the phone with them and my credit card company for hours and still had to pay the full amount, even though I didn’t partake in the tour.

Super frustrating experience and won’t be recommending this company to any of my friends and family.

I wish I could say I enjoyed this experience, but that would be dishonest. First off, the tour is way too large. I didn’t notice this until we got to the Guadalupe shrine where the streets are very crowded. Standing outside in the hot sun waiting for the big coach bus to arrive, while hundreds of people passed by on the tiny sidewalk was not fun at all. Moving around with such a large group of people gets confusing and frustrating. Furthermore, there wasn’t much intimacy and it was easy to get distracted when the guides were sharing information. I also found some points of the tour to lack enough guidance/info. For example, we were pretty much on our own at the Guadalupe shrine. I could’ve done without visiting there, as I didn’t get much out of it. The pyramids were cool, but after a few minutes, it’s boring. We opted for the buffet at the restaurant near the pyramids, which was not very tasty. I also think the alcohol tasting at this same restaurant (during the agave plant demonstration) made me sick. Overall, I wish I had chosen a smaller tour to visit these sites in the city.

This was a really fun trip and our guide and driver were wonderful. The process of waiting and then getting into the Blue House museum is the only down side but so think that’s part of the museum’s process—not a reflection on the tour guides. The boat cruise os the star—if you have time go!

I enjoyed this Amigo run tour and the English speaking guide Ernesto and driver Thomas were great. The food wasn't particularly good at the buffet stop ( stick with the buffet as they do offer other fish) but the bartender gave me a parting delicious shot of Mezcal, a top brand, as a courtesy since I pestered and asked . The driver Thomas excelled at getting us out of a tough spot when a pop up protest - Free Nadia- roped off the highway and we sat for 25 plus minutes no end in sight. 2 brave spanish speaking women got off to brave subways as they were going to miss their flight! Thomas spoke with the activist leader who eventually agreed to let our bus pass. The girls had disappeared but we got home. I’d say frankly in Mexico City there are so many popup protests that block roads, totally, for hours - you better not plan any tours on your departure day. But do plan this one and enjoy every aspect of Mexican culuture.

We had Cristian for both days of the tour, he is very knowledgeable but his English could be better. The visits to the sites (aside from the stores along the way), are well timed, except for lunch. Most Americans eat lunch around noon and they wouldn't get to the lunch spots until 2-2:30pm. Speaking of the lunch spots, both of them, in Teotihuacan and near Xochimilco, were pure cash grabs. There is no need to have a $1,000 pesos lunch for 2 in Mexico City, unless you are going to a high end restaurant which these were not. The shopping spots you are forced to go to should be well advertised on the tour description, they are not. It is a very convenient way to see sites that are not easy to get to, when you stay downtown, but they need some improvements.

Cristian & Leonardo did an amazing job. Very professional, very knowledgeable. The events were all well timed.

Make sure you bring extra cash for lunch, trinkets, drinks and fun.

I speak both English and Spanish, and I decided to go with the English tour in case there were technical terms that I wouldn't understand while on the trip. The trip was amazing and was led by Guyiar, Leonardo, and Gonzalo. I learned so much information about the city when I went on this tour. I had initially debated in my mind if I wanted to just uber to each site, and go at my own pace, but the tour allowed for enough time to see everything. Also, there was so much information that I would have never known. The tour really helped contextualize the significance of every stop. The convenience of riding on the bus was incredible.

Our trip to Teotihuacan was such an amazing experience. Our guide was Ed and he gave us awesome facts about the sites we got to visit. Our driver got us to our scheduled stops on time. Would definitely book again. Bring sunscreen to the pyramids and comfy shoes.
