Big Bus Hong Kong Open-Top Night Tour

So this was really confusing. The bus obviously operates like all hop-on-hop-off buses do in major cities during the day, but this was a special, specific trip taken at night. As it was the evening of my arrival in Hong Kong and my flight was delayed and everything took much longer than I anticipated, including trying to catch a taxi to the pick up point, I was 5 minutes late and the bus had left. I had thought it was a regular circuit, too, but it isn't, it is just on the mainland. Thankfully the company were willing to let me use my ticket the next night, and as it was, the bus was full and left at 6:45pm. The meeting point info on the app was contradictory, one point says a particular address, but then another area said you could get on at any stop. That said, the actual drive was lovely, the audio guide is good (not as interesting as I have found in other cities) and it was fine, but I wouldn't recommend it as a highlight of Hong Kong.

Got a taxi to area, in plenty of time. Couldn’t find bus, no one knew what we were talking about.
When we eventually found the bus it drove off, not happy

The meeting place and time were completely different from what was stated. I inquired in advance but got no reply. They are ridiculous.
As a result, I ended up going back and forth between Hong Kong Island and Kowloon Peninsula. It was a waste of time and money. It's a shame because the bus experience itself was very good.

This is a very over priced experience which we didn’t enjoy.
Firstly it’s very slow and when you get off at a stop your told you can be picked up an hour later but we waited 1hr n 10 mins to be picked up. We tried to pick up at another stop but one didn’t show so ended up getting a taxi!

Surely it would be better if there was more buses running.

Also the ferry included wasn’t explained well when we went to use it we thought it went lantau island but it just goes from Hong Kong island pier to main land, so didn’t get to use it!

Don’t waste your money!

Did not find the bus, however, I was at the pick up place before 7.00 pm:( I waited till 7.20 pm and then left. Maybe there is some change in the bus schedule or the pick up location?

Nice scenery view of Hong Kong.
Only the pick up waiting point didn't state clearly, as a tourist, it is hard to find it

Great way to see Hong Kong, Good earphones and we did two routes including stop offs at Victoria Peak Tramway in the morning and then onto Aberdeen Harbour and Stanley marketing the afternoon. the trip also included the star ferry and the peak pass.

We bought a 48 he pass and this was a wonderful part. I would have liked to get off and catch the bus later but that was not possible when we went. So I only saw the ladies market. I wander would ha e been lovely. It does stop at the ferry so you have to use your free ticket to get back to Hong Kong.
