Had an awesome introduction to a beautiful country. Hotel accommodation was superb, tour bus was brilliant and our tour guide, Thor, was simply outstanding. Not only was he an excellent and highly-skilled driver, he was very knowledgeable, entertaining, funny, helpful, friendly and a great musician too.

The trip was a birthday for me treat and definitely something to remember. Special moment when the full group and Thor sang Happy Birthday to me, courtesy of my daughter.

The itinerary was very well-prepared, we didn't feel rushed and we visited so many beautiful places. Loved the whole trip from start to finish and I will be going back very shortly for another winter trip.

Top marks to GJ Travel 👍👍

We booked this tour through tourradar . We were with GJ Travel for 3 of the 5 days and it was excellant. Our guide was August and our driver was Christian. Every day was packed with wonderful things to see and oppertunity to do more physical things. This is a truly beautiful country and we were lucky enough to have little rain every day. Our entire group got along well and were punctual about leaving on time from different locations.

Our family of 4 had a great experience. I highly recommend this tour. We have 2 children 20 and 19. We went right after a terrible snowstorm but we happy we we able to take the tour. Our guide, Hillmar, was very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. He was also an excellent driver navigating the storm situations and roads very well. He took the time to get to know everyone on the tour and also went out of he way to show us the northern lights which we saw 3 times. The tour was well organized. The tour buses were a little cramped on leg space but that is about our only critique. We would definitely recommend this tour.

I did the 2022-2023 Northern Lights and New Year's Eve tour.

There were a few hiccups along the way due to weather that was out of GJ's and our tour guide's control. When roads were closed, August, our tour guide, found something else for us to do until roads were reopened and we could continue on with the best of our itinerary. We did not miss any of the important must see's.

If Arhus Cabins is on your hotel itinerary, RUN, don't walk. I don't blame GJ travel for what happened, who knew owners and managers could be so irresponsible as to not be available when a large group is coming. There was no one on site to help us find cabins, no paths so we were trudging in snow in poorly lit areas. We came back from dinner and there was no heat or electricity. I gathered my things and went to the hotel where our tour guide was staying while others stayed in the cabins and suffered for an evening. (NY doesn't play that, I was not suffering 1 minute.) This was a nightmare that GJ travel made good, after they learned of what happened from the numerous calls they received from our tour guide and a few travel agents. They upgraded all of us to stay at the better hotel, Stracta Hotel, for NYE. We had a wonderful time. If GJ continues to use them, then it is on GJ travel and I would imagine, that dump will bring their future ratings down.

Iceland is a beautiful country. I would go back again but this time in Fall so I still get Aurora but no snow and ice.

I look forward to many more tours with GJ. They did right by us, our tour guide, August and our driver, Pietro were wonderful. August was a wealth of knowledge, he was able to make immediate changes to your itinerary to "save the day", and he was pretty funny, charming, and an absolute delight. The roads were pretty bad because of snow and ice and I never, not for one second, felt unsafe in Pietro's very capable hands.

Helpful hint: If you plan to go to Iceland, take a tour. Leave the driving to the professionals.

This was an awesome tour, we kept our expectations on the northern lights low as we know that they can be hit and miss as the conditions need to be just right, but everything else we did on the tour was amazing.

Simone was an excellent guide, keeping us entertained and educated throughout the whole tour. It was just extremely lucky that we had great northern lights both nights!

This very much was a taste of Iceland and we're looking forward to coming back.

The bus was comfy, the tour guide knowledgeable and the stops were great to see the highlights of the Reykanes penisular, golden circle and the South Coast.

Unfortunately was very disappointed that we could not do the glacier hike., The guide asked at lunch on day one and tried to book but it was full. Why not let us book before the tour?

On day 2 we spent far too long at the Folk museum and only had 20 minutes at the last stop Seljalamdsfoss, so never had time to go to Gljubui and had to literally walk to behind the falls and back and didnt get time to really experience them. Would rather have had lunch at Vik on day 2, so could have more options and at least see a bit of Vik and maybve save a bit of time for other stops.

The Hotel Cabin was convenient for pick up but rooms were very small, was very happy to be upgraded when we returned. Arhus really needs some maintenance - my door would not lock and I had to struggle to open and close it, my neighbour had no cold water in bathroom and another had a shower head tied up with string. Breakfast was not out and ready at 8am.

Was disappointed that the northern light program was just a video ( with sound very low - couldnt be adjusted). We did see the norther lights on night 2! So all in all, had a fantastic time in a beautiful country.

A great trip to many tourist attractions in a short time for a good value. Our tour guide Simone was funny, knowledgeable, and an excellent driver during an occasional white out condition. Due to challenging weather, the glacier walks were cancelled but Simone went out of her way so that we could visit the edge of it, along with all the other scheduled activities getting us their safely. We were able to experience the northern lights briefly one evening by the adorable Arhus Cottages being completely aware that there would be a chance of not seeing them simply because of Mother Nature. All that Iceland nature has to offer did not disappoint and perhaps my favorite top spots were the Blue Lagoon & Fridheimar Icelandic horses and tomato greenhouse stop. It was a wonderful trip with friends made.

Simone is THE BEST tour guide! Her knowledge of Iceland history, geography, geology paired with her photography tips and tricks lead to the most wholesome experience one can ask for. Stefan was our bus driver and was also fantastic. If this is your first time visiting Iceland this is the perfect tour to start exploring this wonderful country.

Hard to pick one thing, the whole tour was excellent! Blue lagoon was amazing, the waterfalls, beach, folk museum. Brilliant guide in Simone & excellent driver Stefan. Everything from airport pick up to hotel check in ran smoothly. The hotel room was small & basic but clean & comfortable. The cabins in Arhus were warm & compact & in a great location so pretty. We packed so much into 3 days it felt way longer! Couldn't recommend GJ Travel enough, Simone went out of her way to entertain us with stories & facts about Iceland. She went out of her way to help people with their cameras for the night time shots & anything else we needed
I would definitely use them again
