Very good tour and a lot was covered in a day. The tour guide, Mike, was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable of the places visited. He also had a lot of good stories to tell. Such a long but amazing day! The places visited were stunning and so were everyone in the tour group!

Great family adventure exploring Waitomo caves, highlights definitely the glowwworms and Te Puia geysers. Our tour guide was fantastic, he was very knowledgeable and had many recommendations for other things to do while in Auckland.

Pick up was right on time at our meet up location. Would definitely recommend for someone visiting Auckland for the first time.

We had wonderful trip of Waitomo caves and Rotorua including Te Puia with family. Enjoyed long drive from Auckland including wittiness of our guide and pilot of the trip - John from cheeky kiwi travels, Auckland. He was great and took great care of us.

The glow worm caves were fantastic! And Rotorua and the geysers at Te Puia were well worth the trip. Long day but very well organized, efficient and fun. Our guide John was definitely Cheeky, world of knowledge, kept it light and outstanding. Highly recommend

This tour is very expensive considering they don't provide any meals, and I don't really think it was worth it. No photos allowed of the glow worms or the kiwis, so if you're like me and you book these tours to do photography, don't bother. It's a very long day and a little bit too much talking for my liking. On the two hour drive to Rotorua the guide talked nonstop. I appreciate learning facts about New Zealand but I would prefer to listen to music and enjoy the scenery, not listen to talking for hours.

When you get to the geysers you have to first walk through an art school and listen to more talking for an hour. If you're into art this might be a plus for you but I really wasn't interested. Then to a kiwi enclosure and while again it was cool to see them, it was frustrating that once again no photos allowed. I understand why, because people can't be trusted to turn their flash off, but the constant lack of photo taking opportunities kept putting a damper on my trip.

At least you were allowed to take photos of the geysers, and that was great but disappointing that it's all I got out of a 13 hour day.

Anyway, if you're in New Zealand, you gotta see the glow worms and the geysers were pretty cool but my recommendation for people would be to just rent a car and do it yourself.

Wondrous Waitomo Caves and Rocking Rotorua view with eye opening experience of Maori culture in Te Puia. Journey was long but well taken care of by the driver cum tour guide, John with his well informative commentary, comfortable seats, along with breathtaking landscapes through out made the journey joyous.

I had a great time on the tour. The Glowworm Caves were my favorite part. Such an amazing experience so see them and learn about them. Te Puia was great as well and I even saw a kiwi (Finally! After traveling through both islands for 10 days.) Rotorua was pretty much just a lake, nothing spectacular in my opinion. Great views and we saw black swans while there, but it wasn’t the highlight of the tour, for me.

I’ve booked the tour departing from Auckland, and I gotta say, my partner and I had the best time! Our driver John was the BEST, so funny and made the whole tour super enjoyable.

The tours were amazing, the tour guides had so much knowledge, respect for local culture, making it such a memorable experience for us!

Can’t recommend it enough!

Be ready for a long day of traveling. It's necessary if you want to experience the incredible cave and thermal areas. We certainly didn't want to do all of that driving! Both Waitomo and Te Puia were beyond anything we were expecting. Extras included a nearby river and Lake Rotorua. Highly recommend this unique adventure!
