Let me tell you - go on this tour. Iceland scenery is spectacular and if you take this tour you're guaranteed an excellent driver/guide. We had Lorin and he was wonderful. Kept us informed of everything along the way and added little tidbits on the areas we were traveling through.
I can't recommend this group more!

Stunning scenery on the drive and excellent locations visited. Our driver/guide Voilli, was excellent. He was informative, knowledgeable, interesting and amusing in his commentary and patiently answered all our questions. He was very thoughtful in his planning and timing of the visits, ensuring that we saw them at their very best. He offered sensible and useful advice on the best way to view the locations safely. He also demonstrated skill as a driver (as a registered driving instructor here in Ireland I am well qualified to comment on this) - it was a very windy day with strong gusts and the mountain road was quite snowy in places. I can not fault the experience we had. I am very happy to recommend 'yourdaytours', this particular trip and especially our excellent guide. Carl Collings

We booked a private Tour for 6 People. Krzysztof was the best tour guide ever, very sympathetic and authentic, who gave us lots of information about all the areas we were driving through and shared his great passion about the island with us. We had beautiful wheater and were even abel to see rainbows at some points of the tour. We all loved the hole trip and it was an awesome day. Especially Krysztof was always passionated and full of energy. It was wonderful to hear and see so much about the island in just one day. I totally recommend the tour and it was worth the drive through the great nature of Iceland. Thank you very much from Adam, Franka, Oli, Claudia, Niklas and Trisha.

An amazing tour, with a great tour guide, Siggi, who told us great tales about his upbringing in Iceland, and had lots of interesting facts to share. This tour is perfect if you have time to spare in Iceland, and want to see more of this beautiful country. The company, Arctic Adventures, were also really helpful.
Unfortunately we missed out on a couple of stops on the tour, since we were running behind schedule due to reasons out of anyone's control, however the company were more than happy to reimburse us for the parts we missed out on. Despite this, Siggi made up for it by taking us to a fantastic viewpoint that wasn't meant to be on the tour, to save time, but ultimately was another great stop!

Absolutely unbelievable! Our tour guide Franklin was the BEST!!!!!!!!! He was so friendly, smart, funny and entertaining- a real pro!!!!!! The stops were magnificent.. definitely we’ll worth the price and I would recommend this tour 1000x over to friends! Excellent!

Our tour guides Vjeran and Hjörtur were amazing, everything went very well and they even were very kind to drop me off closer to my accommodation since it was very late and I was a solo traveler.
The south coast is beautiful and I recommend this tour if you don’t have to much time, it’s worth it.

Absolutely epic, whistle stop tour of the South Coast. Excellent guiding from Vjeran and Hjõrtur brought it all to life. Feel like a glacier expert already! The glacier lagoon, diamond beach, black beach and various waterfalls are all must sees, so it's worth the long day.

A coupe of points to have in mind before you book:
1. Exhausting bus trip (14-16 hours day trip from Reykjavik).
2. Landmarks full of other tourist groups arriving simultaneously. Made the whole experience feel very much like you're in a low rent film. (Wouldn't surprise me if I was visiting the Colosseum in Rome but one would expect a more authentic experience in Iceland)
3. Rent a car if you're over 1.85cm tall (6') as you simply will not fit in the Mercedes people carrier buses they use.
4. Semi-apocalyptic scenery outside the bus not the best for crunching miles anyway.
5. In a nutshell don't be swayed by the fantastic Instagram photos. Either rent a car and do your own sightseeing or book something more private and definitely more interactive.
6. The driver I believe was trying his - almost -best but again I feel there is a lack of professionalism other well established tourist destinations have at hand.
7. Could be dangerous at times (night time with limited light / icy roads / extreme winds). I feel they should emphasize more on this. Anyone with children should be aware of this.

This tour is a must do. The South Coast was in my view, the most scenic part of the country. This tour includes sights of volcanoes, waterfalls, glaciers, boat trip (additional cost but worth it), black stone beach, puffins and much more. Its a long day but the sightseeing is sensational. Our tour guide, Jacob, made the day much more enjoyable with his local knowledge and had even made a play list of Icelandic music for the drive. A wonderful day and greatly enjoyed!
