Your tour starts with a drive around the city of Pretoria and the office of the president, through church square to the Voortrekker Monument where you will get to learn about the rich history of the Afrikaner and the British colonization. We will then travel back to the southern side of Pretoria on the national highway to Soweto where you will indulge in local cuisine at the famous Vilakazi Street. From there we will head to the Nelson Mandela house and Hector Peterson Memorial. Your tour guide will explain the history of Soweto, and you will witness the life of the township first hand.

To conclude the day, we will drive to Johannesburg, and experience one of the most congested cities in the world! Along the way, you will get to see the Mahatma Gandhi square, travel on the Nelson Mandela Bridge and see the city at its best. We will then depart from Soweto to get to the Apartheid Museum where you will learn more about South Africa in the apartheid era

The tour operator cancelled our tour due to “adverse weather conditions” although it was sunny all day. My tour experience was speaking to viator.com advisor to get the refund.
