We chose to take this tour to capture places that we may have missed driving around ourselves, and we are so glad we did! Not only was Chris friendly, accommodating, and a wealth of knowledge about the area and its history; he also kept our 13-year-old engaged and interested—a feat in itself! He even gave great suggestions about the rest our trip!
The van was a comfortable ride, and the refreshments were greatly appreciate!
We would absolutely book with Chris
again; it was our favorite activity of the trip!

NINA WAS FANTASTIC! We simply adored her! She was so kind and knowledgeable about the history and culture of the area. She was very prepared with snacks, water, and plenty of opportunities for rest stops when driving! Also, since there was quite a bit of time driving to the destination, it feels fitting to mention that she is also a good driver! Unlike some drivers in the area, we never felt like we were going to fly off the side of the road! She made us feel very comfortable- we couldn't ask for a better guide! Thanks again Nina!

We HIGHLY recommend this tour! It was the absolute highlight of our entire trip! Seriously! Our fourteen-year-old told her grandma about this tour - take a moment for that to sink in, this tour was impactful and engaging enough to compel a teenager to talk about it to a grandparent! Chris was a wonderful guide - he was personable and very knowledgeable about the surrounding area, the history of Sedona (including Jerome and its haunted hotel) and the native tribes that lived (and live) in and around the region. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting the Native American pueblo ruins/monuments and had a delicious lunch and fun shopping at the visitor center and cafe on the Navajo reservation. Chris provided the right amount of information and down time to let us take it all in but not be overloaded. We look forward to doing another tour with him and Grand Canyon Journeys on our next visit to Sedona! Thank you Chris!

We had a great time on our tour! Our guide, Chris, was incredibly knowledgeable and personable. The tour itself covered a lot of different sites that we wouldn't have seen otherwise, and Chris had so many interesting facts to share at each one. I especially appreciated that he was able to accommodate different activity/mobility levels for our group and kept everyone engaged throughout. Would highly recommend any of the tours with Grand Canyon Journeys!

Chris was very knowledgeable about Arizona, it’s history (recent & ancient, native ). He was also knowledgeable about the geography of Arizona. He was easy to talk to and had many stories to tell to pass the time between sites. He also had recommendations about how to spend our time on the days after our tour. 10/10 recommend. Loved our day with Chris!

Kids easily walked the path and loop (age 2-7), fun and educational for kids and adults. Amazing to see how our ancestors lived in an amazing wall-mountain/side built “castle.” About 45 min stop for our family but we didn’t read every exhibit in the visitors center. Highly recommend and it has easy access off I-17, no more than 10 min off the highway.

Chris was very knowledgeable and full of information. He made history come alive so we could see how hard life was but how well they managed. He was on time for pick up and did not seem to be in a hurry during the tour.
He was very thoughtful of our comfort. The vehicle was clean and comfortable. He did lend me walking sticks to assist me on walks and stopped as often as needed. If you love to learn the history of the monuments, Chris is the man to lead you.

Booked the private tour with Chris to see the five national monuments. It was a great day. Chris showed up on time with snacks and drinks. We spent the day learning the local history and seeing the ruins. Chris knows his stuff for sure! He is a great tour guide to spend the day with. Stick with the Navajo taco for lunch (it is large enough to split and great!). Cant wait to get back to the area. Thank you Chris for the awesome day and memories!
