This whale watch departs from the beach at Anaeho'omalu Bay ("A'bay) within the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary Waters so you won’t have to travel far to see the majestic Humpback Whales. Tours include expert interpretation from onboard marine naturalists, great photo ops, and an underwater hydrophone to hear the whales as they sing. This trip includes crunchy snacks, tropical juices, and soft drinks. The morning light makes for great photos! Guaranteed – see a Humpback or take the trip again for free!

Lots of whale sightings, although not too close, within a few hundred yards (binoculars would be good). Beautiful Spring day, windy & cool; excited kids! A sea turtle swam next to us on the way back. Crew was really great with our kids ages 5-16.
Know before you go: 1) Dress expecting to get wet. 2) We only received directions to the parking lot, not to the embarcation point; allow 30 min to walk from your car to the Marriott hotel & navigate through hotel pool area to the beach, then board a skiff to the large catamaran (we had SEASMOKE), all before the designated sail time.

Excellent cruise. The only reason for a 4 rating instead of five is that the ocean was rolling (luck of the draw) and standing while taking pics was more challenging. Saw many whales, far and near. And even a rare sighting of a Humpback, possibly resting/sleeping at the surface, upside down.
