Everything went smoothly with the Viator ticket.
The tour was great and we did miss very long queues to get in.
Could have done with a bit more information from the guide on where else our tickets were valid for and the priority entrances we should use. We thought we were doing some of them with the guide. Great ticket though.

This skip-the-line tour was exactly as described, and as an added bonus, our tour guide, Giada, was delightful. With two teenage boys, it’s great to not only have the skip-the-line tickets but to have a guide provide interesting information along the way.
The visit to the Accademia included learning about additional Michelangelo sculptures beyond David. A quick break at a cafe and then we visited the interior of the Duomo before heading up the stairs to the top of the dome. Giada talked us through it and made the climb very manageable and fun. Unbelievable views at the top!
You also receive Brunelleschi passes with the tour, so you can later (within 72 hours) also visit the other sites/museums around the Duomo.

This was a great tour- at the Accademia, it was, of course, centered around the David but our guide also gave us other museum highlights which I appeeciated. She was friendly, clear, and really knowledgeable.
The Duomo was an amazing experience to get a close up view of the frescos on the ceiling, the structure of the duomo, and the amazing views of the city from the top.
The ticket also gave access to the bell tower and rest of church that was valid for 3 days.
Expensive, but worth every penny.

Deborah was great! We got a detailed history at all the stops as well as information on areas for us to visit on later days (we came back and did the Bell Tower + Museum the second day.) She was supportive in climbing the Duomo even when some of the children in the group got scared. Definitely do this with a few days left in your trip to take advantage of the 3-day ticket for all the Duomo areas.

This is a good way to efficiently see these sites. Rebecca was an excellent guide. She is from Florence, and added a lot of color commentary. She also got us to the head of the lines quickly. The most memorable part was the Duomo climb - do this if you can. We wish we could have had more time on the top of the inside of the dome - the paintings are incredible!

Deborah the guide was great and super knowledgeable and was able to give a lot of context to the pieces. Great to do even as a day trip from Rome.

Our morning with Deborah, our tour guide was so fantastic. Deborah is a walking encyclopedia of facts. Her dialogue was delivered with such humor and emotion that we felt special. Thank you Deborah

We really enjoyed our tour guide Laura. She was very inspirational at David and on the climb. Thought we were going to have guided tour of cathedral as well and dressed in long pants for occasion, but was not guided and felt tour description and need to wear long pants was not communicated effectively.

If you can take this tour in the morning, I highly recommend it. We took it late morning and it was very busy so the skip the line tickets were huge time savers. The admittance ran late by the Accademia ate into the tour time 15 minutes so we personally were crunched for time as we had another tour to get too. This resulted in a very quick tour up the dome (thank goodness the duomo people kept the groups in front of us moving) and a walk around and then down the duomo. The tour guide pointed out some nice artistic details about paintings and David, also gave advice on very good gelateria's which was important as we went to a bad one and it's good to know where to get a good one.
