Needless to say, the Louvre is extensive - this small group tour was perfect for us. Mateo, our guide was knowledgeable, engaging, entertaining & accommodating to the needs of the group, which had a few elder folks. The tour covers some of the highlight attractions and the route is well planned, and Mateo's stories keep you engaged. The audio devices used for communicating are perfect if one wants to stay a little longer at a particular spot. Once the tour is completed, you have the freedom to roam the Louvre at will (at least until closing time).
As an added note: The Meeting point for the tour is opposite Cafe Le Nemours Cafe, which is a great place to grab a quick drink & lunch - Great service, great food & courteous staff!

More enthusiasm and making it relevent for all ages instead of a history lesson. Monotone is difficult for young adults to listen to. At one point I asked the leader a question as to why the fingers of many paintings and statues had them in esoteric placment. She said Im not going to answer that. Did I offend her? So strange.

It was very good expirience. I was with my sister and we had a problem with metro transport and were late for the tour scheduled at 3:00 pm! We arrived 15 minutes later but the guide received us with understanding and for that we are quite grateful! Everything was very good except that there were a lot of people in our group and it was written that it was for 6 people. But it didn't spoil our impression ...

Mateo was our guide and he was absolute perfection!! My 88 yr young mother, who is only 4'7" walks a little slower most and Mateo made sure she was always included in every part. He even got her special access to walk in front of the Mona Lisa to view it, instead of from behind the rope with the crush of other people. He is very personable, adding a lot of his own humor & wit to the tour and very knowledgeable about all things in & around the Louvre. We highly recommend this tour, the small size is ideal and makes it possible to have great conversations with the Guide. If you can, request Mateo, you will not be disappointed!! He even gave us restaurant recommendations at our next sightseeing stop and it was delicious!! Exceptional service from start to finish.

Valerie was our guide. She was so energetic and excited about showing us the little bit of the Louvre that she could. She explained things so clearly I learned so much in just a short time. She also had a great sense of humor!
