We were fortunate that we found Obi tours. We booked the City tour originally for 6/3 but we had to move it to 6/4 on a short notice and Obed was very accommodating that he moved our tour ( this could be hard to do with another company).
From the time Pedro (our tour guide) picked us up from our hotel - my husband and I knew we picked the right tour company. Pedro was very polite and very pleasant. He suggested to do the downtown and boardwalk early part of the morning of our trip because it gets crowded and hot in the afternoon. Indeed when we were about to leave the downtown- the crowd rolled in and sun was in full blast. He didn’t pressure us of how much time we should spend there. He catered the tour to what interests us most (skip the jewelry shop) and was able to have extra time for all the other places (did tequila tasting on 2 places after our scrumptious lunch) esp shopping for souvenirs. We were so happy with the service and we felt safe all throughout our tour.
Because we were so satisfied and happy with Pedro - we booked our second tour with the company - The snorkeling tour to the Arcos and a little beach time at Mismaloya beach. As expected- service was nothing but excellent!! We had a good time at the Arcos and enjoyed snorkeling. Stopped by to eat lunch at Nogalito Eco park. He even went above and beyond by letting us stop by at Walmart quickly to get some things on our way back to the hotel. Pedro was very accommodating and excellent customer service.
We are glad that we found this company and also supporting a fellow Veteran.

Personalized private tour!! Port stop in Puerto Vallarta - emailed OBI@OBITours.com phone 510-458-4359 booked a private tour for my husband and I. Obi personalized the tour to what we wanted to see and do. He met us right off the ship and we toured in a clean air-conditioned car. Obi speaks perfect English and is the best guide we have ever had. He told us the history of the area and took us to some amazing places. Everywhere we went he took great photos of us using my cell phone - even making a 30 second video recapture of our day. He arranged for me to do a dolphin swim and stayed with us helping get the best deals. We spend 7 hours with him for a very reasonable price. Simply put he knows his "stuff" and he is fantastic and he will customize your tour ton whatever "you want". No matter if it is just the 2 of you or a group of 8 or more, this is who you should call (and note.. I am not getting anything o do this, but I just want you to have a great experience like we did in this port). True me on this one!!

I met Obi by pure coincidence and thank goodness I did! Obi gave me a personal City tour on my last day in Puerto Vallarta. I had some time contraints but he tailored my tour to highlight attractions I had not visited. I would have never found these places on my own.
Obi is a certified tour guide. He is extremely knowledgable about Mexico's history and rich culture AND he is extremely passionate about what he does and it shows.
The highlight of the day was the visit to the Butterfly Sanctuary. :)
I highly recommend reaching out to Obi for a memorable visit of Puerto Vallarta. He is well connected around town. Local business owners and vendors know him by name. Obi also knows where to find the best eats! I can't thank him enough for my tour.

Obi tours were nothing more than amazing! Obed is personable, kind and full of knowledge. Obed took my family on many tours, including zip lining, whale watching and the city tour. Obed tailored our trip to what we wanted to do. I give Obed 100/10.

Our Guide Renato gave us the authentic Puerto Vallarta tour! the Malecon to see the Dia De Los Muertos displays, the local stores and little open air market my wife asked to see, a small family owned Tequila distillery up in the mountains. Truely an unforgettable experience! I was impressed enough to book two more Excursions with him coming up in April and August. We're bringing friends with us to share the experience then!

We were blessed to use Obi Tours during our recent cruise stop in Puerto Vallarta. Uninspired by the excursion selections offered by the ship, we decided to wing it, hoping that we could make a connection with a quality company hocking at the port. We are not interested in tequila and we had a chocolate making class scheduled for later that afternoon so taking one of the larger tours wasn’t an option. When we got off the boat and walked into the port area I was stopped by a man hocking a city tour. I stopped and explained to him what I was looking for and asked if he had anything like that. He said he would connect with one of his partners and see if one could help. And that is how we found Obi.
Obi came in a small SUV that had just enough room for the five of us. Obi is an expat, so spoke perfect English. He listened to our requests, quoted us a price of $35 per person for about a three hour tour with a stop for lunch and off we went. He was fantastic. His love for PV shown through as he told us the history and answered all of our questions.
The tour included a stop downtown where we got out and he took our photo with the PV sign. He then walked us around downtown and told us PV history; ending at the church. He left us there for about ten minutes while he went and got the car, and then took us to a partner store for bathrooms and water. We then drive out of town and he took us to a partner restaurant out in the middle of nowhere next to a beautiful pond. We explained that two of us were gluten free and he assured us that we could be accommodated.
The restaurant only has four options and they are pricey but absolutely delicious. Fresh fish and shrimp, fajitas, they brought out corn tortillas for us. It was amazing. If you are not wanting to eat or on a very strict budget, be sure to speak up at the beginning because it was pricey.
Obi was careful to get us to our chocolate making class plenty early. He also offered to take my husband, who wasn’t taking the class back to the ship and then come and get the rest of us in two hours. This was an additional $50 and well worth the peace of knowing how we would get back.
Obi took amazing care of us and by the end of the day he felt like one of the family. He connected with my teenagers sons all the way to my 70 year old mom.
We all loved our time in PV and can’t wait to go back and see Obi again!
