This was so fun. We learned true Japanese calligraphy techniques, practiced and then created our souvenir card and fan! Drank a matcha latte during our visit- Delicious- A MUST to do when in Tokyo…

We have enjoyed it very much. The hosts were kind, considerate and very patient with my lack of calligraphy skills.
We were shown a video and did a practice kanji and then off we went to write a kanji of our choice, followed by our name from kanji.
At the end we received a stamp with our name + some of the artwork we have created.
Have to mention that we were not rushed at all. Session ended 20 minutes later than planned, so thank you so much for your time!

I really enjoyed the experience, the ladies were very nice, friendly and patient and let us practice multiple times the same kanji. I am happy I had the opportunity to write my name and a few other kanjis. Getting a drink included is a nice touch and we left with a fan and a stamp with our name!

Kanako sensei and Tomoko were amazing and patient. They provided detailed instruction in English which was good as this was our first time. We would highly recommend this experience as your able to create a number of lovely keepsakes in this class.

Most wonderful experience. Would definitely recommend. We’e very patient with us and made it so enjoyable. Wrote Japanese calligraphy onto a fan and learned the art of origami making lots of cranes. Really loved the experience

We had lots of funny and lots of learning. Our guides allowed us to practice our strokes many, many times until we were happy. Then, we painted a fann with our own characters! And, they also presented us with stamps thjhat had our names in both Japanese and English. It was a fun afternoon!!
