On the meeting time our professional tour guide welcome you from the port, your first destination will be house of mother Mary which is very important place for Christian believers. We will head to Selçuk town. Upon arrival, we are going to explore the grounds of the House of the Virgin Mary, believed to be the final resting place of Mary, the mother of Jesus. We are gonna visit the small chapel on the site, where you can offer prayers or reflect in the peaceful surroundings. Then take time to explore the interior of the house, which has been restored and contains a small altar and various religious artifacts. Myself and my boyfriend were very impressed with the tour that our guide Devran provided! We had booked a small group tour, however the other couple that had booked onto the same tour upgraded to a private tour, so it ended up just being the two of us. We were picked up at 9:30am from our hotel and the shuttle that transported us to each site was very comfortable, had air-conditioning and bottles of water.
We went to the Artemis Temple first, followed by a stop at a family-owned pottery business, where we had a demonstration and tour. The tour guide did say that we weren’t obliged to buy any products, however I did feel inclined to buy a little bowl as the staff were friendly and offered us a selection of teas, and the pottery products were very pretty.
We then went to the House of the Virgin Mary and main Ephesus sites. Devran explained the history in depth and then allowed us to explore by ourselves for a few minutes. Note that entry to sites is not included in this booking - 400TL entry for House of Virgin Mary and 1,410TL for Ephesus.
Lunch was included in our tour. The restaurant that we were taken to provided a standard buffet. Note that drinks are not included and are at an extra cost. We arrived back at our hotel at around 2:30pm.
Overall I was positively impressed by this tour. Great value for money and would 100% recommend.

Great tour with a friendly and knowledgeable guide! Devran took great care of our tour group the entire day, making sure we enjoyed our time, got all the photos we wanted and made sure we were comfortable throughout the hot day. The stop for lunch was also delicious!

Davran was the best tour guide we had on our cruise stop in Turkey. He was punctual, funny and detailed. The information he provided was very informational but not overbearing like our prior tour guides. He was able to accommodate us last minute and forever indebted.

as a family of four we are just back ftom our tour, and it was absolutely brilliant!!!

devran is so very polite and has a brilliant amount of knowledge!!!

the food on our lunch stop was also extremely nice!!!

i would honestly recommend a tour with devran for families of all ages (we had our teenage son with us aswell as my 70 year old mum) and everyone had a great time!!!
