Oscar was a great guide. He was both knowledgeable and passionate about Mexico’s past. We came away with deeper appreciation for the brilliance of past civilizations and why Mexicans are so proud of their history.

Oscar was waiting for us, at the meeting point. he did a good job of explaining anthropology and it's role in unraveling Mexico's past. As novices we were often confused with all of the names... But to his credit we learned a lot.

Oscar was an amazing guide, very knowledgeable and fun - and really passionate about all the amazing civilizations we got to learn about at the museum with him! The museum is quite big, so it was great to have a guide by our side, making sure we were seeing all the highlights and telling us about the history of Mexico. Also, we loved how Oscar tailored the tour to our interests. Ana at Mexico a Pie was also wonderful. Definitely recommend!

The private tour to Anthropology Museum is really worth it! The museum is so big, and full of many exhibitions to see, and I honestly don’t think we could understand what we were looking at without a guide. The tour agency, Mexico A Pie was responsive and communicative, and our tour guide, Oscar, was great! He’s punctual, friendly, very knowledgeable, and patient. This is the tour to book if you can afford it.

The Museo Nacional de Antropología was at the top of our list to visit on our trip to Mexico City and it exceeded our expectations, with much thanks to Oscar, our amazing tour guide. The museum collection is massive, stunning, and covers so much history that it could be overwhelming. Oscar is incredibly knowledgeable and shares highlights and anecdotes that put the overlapping civilizations and rich history in context and connects it to the present. We could have spent the day with him learning more, but he had another tour to lead. I can't recommend this tour enough! Try to book it early in your trip to really enhance the rest of it.

First, this firm, Mexico A Pie, is very easy to book online and also contact via WhatsApp. I had made a date mistake booking a few weeks out and Ana (+52 55 1017 8875) was quick to make the change I needed, etc. and answer my questions.
Second, Mr. Oscar Godoy is an AMAZING tour guide. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and full of good/positive energy. My husband and I feel like we really learned a lot from Oscar during our tour of the Anthropology Museum. I highly recommend requesting Oscar Godoy when you book.
Third, we visited the Anthropology Museum our very first morning of a first-ever trip to CDMX. It set us up well for later tours of the Basilica of Our Lady and an Urban Art bike tour. I felt like Oscar's "tutorial" provided an excellent base for the rest of our visit.

Andres was one of the best guides we’ve ever had at any museum. He was passionate, interesting and knowledgeable about all aspects of the pre-Hispanic cultures in Mexico. Our time at the museum just flew by and we came away with a great appreciation of a portion of what this vast museum offers. We’d love to come back; there’s even more to see here.
