Bill’s was amazing. This was one of the very best parts of our trip. He is a walking history book and a great story teller. Such a great experience. I will do it again when I go back and will bring my kids. He was amazing. Also had fantastic customized recommendations on what else to do while in Nashville. Do this as your first stop because you will get great ideas!!!

I highly recommend this tour! This is the 2nd time I've done it (the first was 10 years ago). The tour guide knows so much about Nashville and the music industry, it is very enlightening, fun, and informative.

This is the second time I've done Bill's tour, and as before, he gave an outstanding tour that feels like a conversation with a particularly knowledgable friend. Aside from providing historical context to city's music scene, he gave a lot of great suggestions for clubs, restaurants and shops. I can't imagine a better person to guide you in Nashville.

Apparently the prospect of rain put off some other customers, so my wife and I had the incredible good fortune to have Bill De Main all to ourselves for this Friday walking tour of Nashville. Having heard Bill on the radio in the UK as 'Mr Nashville Himself' we could hardly believe our luck (and it didn't rain!) Bill proved even more informed, interesting and insightful than we had hoped and we had the best possible 90 minutes with him. As well as hearing his interesting stories of old Nashville and the origins of country music, we had the luxury of engaging Bill in conversation about issues arising from these in which we were interested, and his take on things was fascinating and perceptive. He also passed on some great tips about where to hear the best music and eat the best food. A thoroughly enjoyable tour and one I would recommend to anyone with an interest in Nashville and its music, and who wants an experience a bit more special than that provided by the carbon-copy tour buses. Thanks, Bill!

Bill’s walking tour of Nashville is a high point for anyone who appreciates music history. His open, friendly style combined with his in depth and personal knowledge of Nashville music history makes Walkin’ Nashville a great primer and way to begin a trip to Nashville.

Not only was the tour excellent, he then sent some fantastic recommendations of shows to see that were spot on and completed our Nashville live music weekend. Can’t thank Bill enough!

Can I leave a six out of 5 review? Is that possible? Cause if it were, I'd do it. Bill is personable, and most importantly, highly knowledgeable. He knows everything there is to know about the Nashville music scene and its history, having been a part of it for so long, and having covered it as a journalist for a while. He seamlessly integrates peoples questions into his tour, and provides some really thoughtful answers to harder questions - eg. about the economics of the Nashville bar music scene and about race and country music, for example. Just fantastic, and great stories.

This tour is a must for any music lover who really wants to get to know the heart and soul of the music city!

Our group of 9 people had the pleasure of joining Bill for a tour on a Sunday, even though it's not the usual day (thank you again for accommodating us, Bill).

Bill's not your average tour guide - he's like a walking encyclopedia of music knowledge. He'll take you on a journey through Nashville's history, from the iconic Ryman Auditorium to the legendary Tootsie's Orchid Lounge, sharing stories and trivia that you won't find in any guidebook.

Bill is not just knowledgeable, he's also incredibly friendly and down-to-earth. We felt like we were exploring Nashville with an old friend, sharing his passion for music and the city every step of the way.

So, don't miss the Walkin' Nashville Music City Legends Tour with Bill, we can't recommend it highly enough!
