Troy was an excellent guide. He was knowledgeable and humorous. The seats were comfortable, but a little close together. Breakers was beautiful. Do your homework and download the excellent audio tour before you arrive.

Gilded Age at Newport Mansions- Great Small Tour!
Just spent a charming half day with PAT our excellent guide seeing four of the main Newport “cottages” all used in the TV show. Great care with our small group, lots of special access and stories about the show. Pat could answer all our questions in general about the mansions and their owners as well. Beautiful garden access too. Even a treat out on the loggia of one mansion with homemade cookies and refreshing lemonade. Expensive but very worth it. Highly recommend.

Trolly Rob, was knowledgeable and a pleasure to listen to. Not to mention funny. The only downside was trees were in the way, need to come back in the fall, the Breakers was way over the top.

The tour guide was upbeat, friendly and informative. I look forward to further exploring many of the sites he talked about in a future visit. Trip started out with a problem, which the owner handled in an efficient and professional manner.

We loved our trolly tour and tour of the Breakers. Our tour guide was Rob and he was knowledgable and funny. Perfect combination for a trolly tour guide. Definitely do the Breakers tour. It was amazing.

My adult daughter and I enjoyed the tour with Troy. He was not only very knowledgeable but funny, so the tour was informative and a lot of fun. It was a good overview of Newport. As part of the tour, we went to the Breakers, which is a lovely smaller mansion, exquisitely decorated. We highly recommend the White Trolley Tour and Troy. Thanks for a wonderful afternoon in beautiful Newport!

Rob was excellent and made the trip enjoyable the whole time. Trolley tour was very well organized. Rob’s local and historical knowledge is great. His additional reccos for restaurants and bars very helpful. We went to both Flo’s and Elle’s after hearing from him and both as good as advertised.
Only disappointment was Breakers for us. Nothing to do with Rob or the Newport Trolley since they just drop off/pick up but the house is very crowded and you just walk through a few rooms. Compared to other period houses with more cultural and historical significance, it kind of missed in our opinion but still worth seeing.
Highly recommend Newport Trolley.
