Everything seemed a little disorganized with this food tour. We went into restaurants that didn't seem to know we were coming and got no information about any of the food we ate. The guide was interesting, though he didn't know anything about the restaurants nor food rather just a bit of the history of the area. I don't feel like I learned anything, and I've eaten better food. While it was a fun experience overall, I've enjoyed food tours in other cities much more than this one.

I really enjoyed this tour- everything was pretty well curated. The only thing that I think could be better is if we were able to place our orders for each place a little earlier. Because of the limited time at each place, it sometimes took a while to place our order, wait for the food, and then eat. Otherwise, each location had very yummy food and the experience was pretty seamless. The tour guide told a couple of off color jokes, but it wasn’t enough to ruin our time.

Our tour started with The Grill from Ipanema for Brazilian food and drink. The food was fantastic! Cocktails are extra but no one was concerned about that and most everyone tried local drinks. Next it was an easy walk to Himalayan Heritage where the food was once again fantastic. This stop felt very rushed and no one ordered drinks. Johnny Pistolas was out third stop. We were here quite a long time. The tacos were just average, very greasy and it didn't seem to fit in with the diverse ethnic feel of the tour. For dessert, we walked down the hill to The Cake Room for delicious cupcakes and coffee. The food part of the tour was good, we tried some foods we had never eaten before. However, I don't feel like we learned much about the history of Morgan Adams and we didn't learn much about the foods we were given. I could not tell you the names of anything we ate! We have been on several food tours in other cities and I felt this one was average in experience and a bit expensive in cost.

What a fantastic food tour! My family and I went on an adventure with Gerson and learned so much about Adams Morgan! All the food was great, and definitely try the blood orange jalapeno margarita, the best! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for some fun history and great food!
