Subject to availability, we will be sampling Shanghai steamed soup dumpling, Tianjin pork bun, Chinese donut, deep-fried taro dumpling, beef wrap and many more. Not only will travellers taste great food, but they will also learn so much about the history behind those foods. Your tour guide David was born in northern China and immigrated to Canada at the age of 15. He may not be a great cook but love to eat out and try out different restaurants/hidden food courts every week! Most importantly, he loves history and spends tons of time researching the history behind each food. Great tour with an outstanding guide (David Xin)! If possible,book the tour early in your Vancouver stay so that you can return to Richmond and try out some of the other places pointed out. David is knowledgeable not only about Asian food but also culture. Richmond is a hidden culinary gem, and David is just the guy to reveal the wealth of eating experiences in its restaurants and markets. Bon appetit!
