Silfra is a crack in the Earth ripped open by the movement of the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates.
The crystal clear glacial water filling the Silfra fissure has been filtered for decades through underground lava rock, providing over 100 meters of underwater visibility. The underwater scenery that you experience in Silfra is found nowhere else on Earth, a true bucket list dive.
The diving tour of Silfra is done in a dry suit, helping you to stay warm and dry inside the suit.
You will explore the four main parts of Silfra, the big crack, Silfra hall, Silfra Cathedral and the Silfra Lagoon. You will be able to touch the 2 continents at one point, don't forget to take a photo!
Silfra is located in Thingvellir National Park which is a Unesco heritage site. The beautiful park is one of the wonders on the famous Golden circle route.

Amazing snorkeling adventure with our 5-Star guide Veli. He was super helpful, got us in as first group and had the whole dive location to ourselves. I had 2 kids that felt comfortable due to his reassurance and all around worth every penny. The hot cocoa and cookies were an amazing way to top it all off! Thanks Dive.is and request Veli!!!

extremely well organized and guided. What an amazing experience. The crew running it was aware of challenges and concerns related to snorkeling in 1 degree water! They made it fun and interesting.
Veli was our small group guide and he was enthusiastic, encouraging and knowledgable.

This was an amazing experience. Our guide Wilmar was amazing. He has a great personality that makes you feel comfortable immediately. All the equipment was great and allowed you to feel comfortable in the water. Wilmar was awesome at getting us all ready and very knowledgeable.
This is a once in a lifetime experience and I would highly recommend both Dive.IS and Wilmar

Our group of three had a great dive with Asier (Papi)! The crew were very professional, and the rental dry suits and thermal undersuits were high quality and kept us as warm as you could hope for in the 2 degrees C water. The photos he took were a nice bonus!
