The fishing on the bay is great fishing, Sheepshead, Black Drum, Whiting, and many others, including Red Fish. Bay fishing trips primarily target tasty sand trout and whiting but customers will also have opportunities to catch red drum and black drum. Customers can also bring their own gear if they desire, but Captain Murphy’s will not be responsible for it.
All persons fishing, ages 17 and older are required to have a valid Texas Saltwater Fishing License. You can easily purchase a fishing license online by going to Texas Parks and Wildlife website and Fishing License

Got some cool pics but the fishing was disappointing. 30 people on the boat and 5 fish were caught. More than half of the trip was moving to locations so wasn’t a lot of fishing time. Crew was great just not enough fishing time in my opinion.

We went during the 1:00 pm time and enjoyed the captain and crew. We didn’t catch anything, but maybe if we did the other times. A few people on the boat did manage to catch a few fish.

No bites but a good time. The guys did try to find places where the fish might be biting. The main person helping us had a great sense of humor and considerable knowledge of the fish.

Caeser and DJ were great and made the trip worthwhile. A few keepers were caught but mostly a poor day for fishing. Thankfully we weren't counting on fish for lunch.

Unfortunately there weren't many fish out but it was fun to just ride in the boat and feel the breeze. Cj and Cesar also made it worth while.

Didn't catch any fish but the crew was great , did see a lot of dolphins and had fun . Also fun watching the land lovers that couldn't handle the Waves 🤮🤢

My fishing time was rescheduled because of wind... so my option was one time and day or a refund... we had already purchased our fishing license so we figured wed give it a try, the boat was packed ! way to many people. We were literally every two foot apart around the boat. I loved the water and the captain and crew! Without them it would have been a 1 star! They made the trip by talking to everyone , and helping anyone and everyone! Wonderful captain and crew!!!

The fish weren’t biting but the experience was still great! All provided equipment was easy to use and the staff (Ray and Adam) were so great! They were attentive, conversational, welcoming, and provided an amazing restaurant recommendation! Would absolutely go again!

It was a bit too crowded, crew was nice and boat was pretty good size. Dolphins were great, but fishing was rough, just lines crossing and so many people, it is worth the extra for a private fishing tour.
