Your guide will first present you the village on the island, where shops and restaurants have existed for 1000 years.
Then you will climb to the top of the rock where you will visit the different rooms of the abbey and you will have the chance to understand what was the life of a monk in the "City of Books", through different wars over centuries. Also, your guide will explain to you the slow construction of the abbey, from its pre-romanesque times to the French revolution, and the use of the different rooms of the abbey.

Our guide (Yanni?) was very good. We are a bit older, I used a cane, and could not keep up with such an energetic person. He emailed us our admission tickets, at our request, so we could go at our own pace. Our regret was that we did not get the benefit of his knowledge as we walked through the Abbey. Luckily, I had watched a documentary on hhe Abbey before coming. However, I wish that when he sent us the tickets an audio guide could've been included.

We had an excellent tour of Mont Saint Michel with our guide Gwen. He picked up in Bayeux, and gave us lots of interesting information on the area on our drive to Mont Saint Michel. He is extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area. At Mont Saint Michel, we had an excellent tour, with much information about both the history and architecture of the place. It was a fun, information - filled enjoyable day!

It was a wonderful experience right away from the pick up. Our guide started explaining rich history of bayuex and the vicinity of bayuex, mount saint michael and so many things. I would recommend this to anyone planning for a one day trip to mount saint michael from bayuex.

The tour was the best I took so far. The guide Pierre was knowledgeable, interesting, fun and catching. I loved the personal insight, being a local Pierre could also give me advice on things to do / places to eat in the area. 100% recommended!
