We plan a one-day trip to Abu Simbel from Cairo. Unfortunately, our Egypt Air flight was delayed for almost 2 hours. Although our visit is short but the temples are impressive and the tour guide is informative.

We had an amazing private tour to Abu Simbel. Mena was an amazing guide and we would highly recommend him. He was patient and explained all the details of the temple so that we could appreciate each and every carving inside the temple. His English was amazing and he also made our 3 hour car ride to and from Abu Simbel very enjoyable.

A private tour is much more recommended as you get a full 2 hours to explore instead of a shorter time with many tour busses. Additionally, we actually flew into Aswan at 820am and got picked up, and arrived at Abu Simbel in the afternoon, which helped us avoid all the early morning bus tours.
