You'll be picked up from your centrally located Auckland hotel before traveling 30-minutes west to the Waitakere Ranges.
From here travel further west to enjoy a walk in the rainforest before visiting the beautiful Piha Beach for a walk on the soft black sand.

Ayla and Jason were great tour guides. We had a lovely hike/walk in the bush followed by a walk along a beautiful black sand beach. Really well done.

Meredith and Kevin were both incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable, as beautiful as the places we went to were, it is obvious the guides are what make this our a true gem. You can really tell they love the region and its local flora and history and how excited they are to share it with you. Even if the weather wasn’t the most agreeable, the tour still was an absolute success thanks to them!

The best part of the experience was our fabulous and well informed guides. It is very clear how much they love and respect the natural beauty of the rainforest and beaches, and New Zealand as a whole… they gave us a very memorable and lovely day.

It was a great experience for us. It was a raining /windy afternoon, but the tour guide and driver were warm and kind. It was a beautiful route. The tour guide was professional and knowledgable. We learned a lot about Auckland forrest/trees/animals, and New Zealand history. It was a great tour and we surely will recommend it to friends. Thank you!

This was a really fun way to get out of the city. Erin and Kevin were spectacular guides and made the trip really fun. Piha beach was definitely the highlight of the trip for me; it was absolutely beautiful and the beach wasn't very crowded while we were there. I would absolutely recommend this trip as an afternoon activity.

I liked the countyside, but had the feeling that the black sand beach was not really black and the rain forest was quite dry, but, nevertheless, a nice half-day trip with an excellent driver.
