You will explore The National Aquarium Abu Dhabi - the largest aquarium in the Middle East and is home to 46,000 animals spread across 10 zones. The aquarium houses more than 200 sharks and rays, representing 25 different species. All of the animals are cared for by a team of 80 sea-life experts.
Education is at the core of The National Aquarium, with an entire department dedicated to learning and enhancing environment knowledge and the capacity to welcome up to 50,000 students a year.

The aquarium was really beautiful. Still after going to sea world, i didn't expect to be amazed by the variety of sea beings present there. And to top the experience we went through the "behind the glass" experience with Elbekry where we got to see the whole operation running the aquarium.
Our visit was worth it. Thank you!

When I visited the national aquarium, it was amazing. With the "Beyond the Glass" ticket, I got to see so much. Ms. Rania Elsayed, our guide, was really great. Even though it was closing time, she was friendly and patient, explaining everything about sea animal rescue. It was a fantastic visit thanks to her.

Mr. Pinga has explained every thing in detail and he was very friendly. Behind the seenes tour was informative.
Aquarium Journey was very good.
Glass bottom boat tour and Glass bridge walk was not impressive. Glass bridge was very narrow and was not so clear.

We went there around morning and stayed for 3-4 hours. It was a wonderful experience! A must recommend for anyone who wants a family outing that is both entertaining and educational. Also, for people who love animals and the ocean. The staff was very welcoming. We had bought tickets for the Animal Encounter (Amazon Adventure-Encounter with Freshwater Rays) and the Beyond the Glass experience. Both of them were great. Interacting with the freshwater rays was memorable. Both the aquarium educator and the aquarist involved during the interaction were really good at guiding us through the whole event. Shootout to the Aquarium Educator Wendy who helped me suit up and get ready for the Freshwater rays interaction.
There are also routine feeding sessions that happen in the main tank that visitors can view. The Amazon Forest section also has a meet and greet section where you can interact with certain animal species. They also have an educational Otter session where you see the Otters doing dances, swimming around the tank and waving at visitors with the instructions of a trainer.
The best part about our experience was the Beyond the Glass. We were taken with a guided educator named Yen. She explained splendidly about what happens behind the scenes in the Aquarium. That was a first time experience for us. I really appreciated that Yen took us around the breeding tanks where we got to see baby turtles and baby sharks. We also saw the feed preparation room as well how the Aquarium team has rescued, rehabilitated and released turtle. Shootout to Yen was giving us such an educational experience and also informing us how we can contribute to making the ocean livable for all organisms that reside there.

Highly recommended, especially option “behind the scenes”. It is worth investing few more dirhams to know more about local marine life preservation. We had really nice and professional guide: Pingalatheva.
